00:00The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA has reached an agreement with the Department of Budget and Management

00:06for the upcoming Philippine Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting

00:11that will be held in February of next year.

00:14That is Noel Talacan's report.

00:18This is a fun run that the Department of Budget and Management or DBM will do

00:24to support the Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Region in the country.

00:31That is why the DBM has reached an agreement with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA

00:38to organize the first Open Government Partnership Fun Run.

00:43This Thursday, the MMDA and DBM reached an agreement

00:47for the so-called occasion where the MMDA will lead the government in the logistic planning of the route

00:55and the coordination of the traffic so that the so-called fun run will be safe and sound for all residents.

01:04In a statement, DBM Secretary Amena Pangandaman said,

01:08Transparency, Accountability, and Participatory Governance is one of the goals of the DBM and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

01:18where they are considered to be the principles of the Open Government Partnership.

01:23MMDA Chairman Don Ates said that MMDA is also promoting Transparency, Honest, and Accountability Governance

01:33That is why they have been in the unqualified opinion or audit of the DBM for five years

01:39and they want to improve this not only in the fun run but in all activities of the MMDA.

01:46The so-called fun run will be held on January 26 of the next year where the Philippine Red Cross will be held

01:53while the Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting will be held in February 2025.
