This is the Rangers Directors' Box. It's the biggest directors' box in Scotland.
00:04
There's 101 seats in here. Little has changed in here since 1928.
00:09
New seating, better seating, but it's the same wooden surround,
00:13
all the way around. And you think of the famous people
00:16
who have come up these steps. The Queen, Prime Ministers,
00:19
politicians, sports stars, pop stars. Would you call Ross Stewart a pop star?
00:26
Rangers directors always sit in the top left-hand corner here.
00:30
The seat on the second row at the end is always left free
00:33
in case the Rangers manager gets sent to the stand.
00:36
Graeme Souness was very familiar with that seat.
00:39
Walter was known to go there fairly regularly.
00:42
After the disaster of 71, we had to change the structure of the stadium.
00:47
And it went all over Europe to get a template to fit this ground
00:50
and we copied Borussia Dortmund. So the three stands opposite this stand
00:55
were copied from Borussia Dortmund. Now, the corners are filled in
00:59
so it doesn't quite have the same effect, but it's obstruction-free stands.
01:04
We're not allowed to touch this main stand, listed building.
01:07
We can't take a brick out of the main stand at all.
01:11
We can't touch the main court, the first level.
01:15
Can't touch the reception area, listed building.
