00:00The suspected killer of the UnitedHealthcare CEO was arraigned and charged with murder

00:06late Monday.

00:08The arrest of 26-year-old Luigi Mangione in an Altoona, Pennsylvania McDonald's ended

00:13a five-day manhunt after what police have called a brazen targeted attack.

00:18Brian Thompson was shot outside a Manhattan hotel last week by a masked man who waited

00:23for him.

00:24The officer quickly recognized the male as the suspect from the shooting, and within

00:30several minutes, seconds of the first contact, he had asked the suspect if he had been in

00:37New York City recently, and that really invoked a physical reaction from the suspect.

00:43He became visibly nervous, kind of shaking at that question, and he didn't really answer

00:50it directly.

00:52That statement alone really said a lot, and the suspect didn't have to say a lot after

00:57that question to show that he was very nervous at that point.

01:03Police say Mangione was found with a large sum of cash, fake IDs, written documents,

01:09and several electronic devices.

01:11One of the fake IDs matched the gunman's ID used to check into a Manhattan hostel prior

01:16to the shooting.

01:18The police also found a black ghost gun, an untraceable firearm assembled from parts,

01:23in his backpack, loaded with a magazine and silencer.

01:28Pennsylvania authorities said the gun, clothing, and mask were similar to those used by the

01:33killer.

01:34Mangione was denied bail after Pennsylvania prosecutors argued that he was a flight risk.

01:39Meanwhile, the Mangione family said in a statement saying they are shocked by Luigi's arrest.

01:45They added they couldn't comment further and offered prayers to Thompson's family.
