Luigi Mangione arrested and charged with US insurance chief's murder

Twenty-six-year-old Luigi Mangione has been arrested and charged with murder in the targeted killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, along with other violations.

00:00The suspect was in a McDonald's and was recognized by an employee who then called local police.

00:07Responding officers questioned the suspect, who was acting suspiciously and was carrying

00:12multiple fraudulent IDs, as well as a U.S. passport.

00:17Upon further investigation, officers recovered a firearm on his person, as well as a suppressor,

00:24both consistent with the weapon used in the murder.

00:27We're still working through his social media, we're going to do a complete scrub of that.

00:31Preliminarily, like I said, he seems that he had some ill will toward corporate America,

00:35but that will all come out as part of our investigation.

00:37We're not done here.

00:38We're still going to be putting this together, we're still going to be working very hard

00:41to bring this to a successful conclusion.
