00:00What do you think of the playoff games for college football now that you've seen them

00:08and which is your favorite?

00:11First things first, I don't I'm not a fan of this called football playoff stuff, man,

00:15call me a Grinch, call me old, whatever old man yells at the clouds or whatever.

00:19But it was fine the way that it was.

00:22I had no problems with the four.

00:24It was perfect.

00:25You had to be great to get in.

00:30What the hell are we doing here, Scott, with these first round buys for some of these teams

00:33just because they won their conference?

00:35That's stupid, too, right?

00:37You guys were talking about it earlier.

00:38The bracket is unbalanced.

00:40It's like, you know, it's it is what it is.

00:43And it's only going to get bigger as we go on.

00:45For the record, guys, they have a two year deal with this.

00:48So they have this year and next year with the 12 team playoff, they kind of knew that

00:53inevitably they're going to make it bigger.

00:56And they were already arguing about it.

00:57They're already arguing about it now.

01:00So it's this year and next year and then after it'll be 16.

01:04And I assume after the next TV deal is up, it'll be 24.

01:08And we'll see how these playoff games go.

01:10It's going to be fun.

01:11I'm not I'm not saying it's not going to be fun.

01:14As far as my favorite game is concerned.

01:16I tell you, Scott, I think that I think that Clemson-Texas game is a lot of fun, man.

01:23People are kind of sleeping on Clemson, you know, they're the ones with the three losses.

01:27They've got a chip on their shoulder.

01:28Nobody believes in them.

01:30You see that their offense is starting to move.

01:31You know, listen, they hit the wall in the second half, but they're starting to move

01:34the ball on offense a little bit.

01:36They've got playmakers on defense.

01:37Davo is an elite coach.

01:39And quite frankly, I think the point spread is too high.

01:42You look at Texas's offense and I respect Texas just because they lost to Georgia.

01:45OK, I think Texas are really good, Scott, but double digits with that Texas offense,

01:50it only scores about 27 points a game.

01:53You know, I mean, like that's a lot of points to be laying against Clemson.

01:56I think they're very evenly matched teams, to be honest with you.

01:59And the Indiana-Notre Dame game is going to be a lot of fun, but we've got to obviously

02:03think about weather, Scott.

02:05What's the weather?

02:06You lived in Indiana before.

02:07What's the weather going to be like on a Friday night, December 20th, as the night goes on?

02:11You know what I'm saying?

02:12Yeah, it'll be cold.

02:13It'll be cold for sure.

02:14But Clemson did a hell of a job finding a way to win that game against SMU.

02:22Then they came back, SMU tied it.

02:24They still found a way to win it.

02:26I don't think they can hang with Texas.

02:28I think they could beat an SMU.

02:30I don't think they can beat a Texas.

02:32Indiana to me, it's about covering.

02:34I'm not sure they can beat the Irish at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend.

02:39I think Notre Dame's defense is going to give Roark problems.

03:04Looking at the schedule that they have, they stumbled.

03:06But they've really gotten better as the year has gone on, this football team.

03:10They've got NFL talent, Notre Dame.

03:12You know what I mean?

03:13At this time of the year, that matters.

03:16They've got playmakers.

03:17Their defense is really good.

03:18Their secondary is really good.

03:20So they're going to match up well with Indiana here.

03:22We know Indiana are going to put points up on the board.

03:24This is, like you said, I think Notre Dame wins, but if I had to, I would just almost

03:29take almost every underdog.

03:31Penn State are kind of perplexing, in a way.

03:33I thought that was pretty impressive.

03:35I know Franklin gets criticized all the time for not winning the big ones, but the Ducks

03:39are a damn good team.

03:41And Penn State showed a lot there, Scott.

03:42That was a very impressive performance from the Penn State Nittany Lions, but I think

03:46people are getting a little too excited here.

03:48We've seen, here's another weather game, though.

03:50You have a team coming from, you know, a passing team coming from Texas into Pennsylvania.

03:56We'll have to keep our eye on the weather there, but I'm not ready to say that I want

03:59to lay eight and a half points with Penn State.

04:01And listen, this is a fun one, actually.

04:04I would say, like for me, Clemson, Texas, we're going to go with the Blue Bloods here,

04:08Scott.

04:09And Tennessee and Ohio State's a lot of fun.

04:11And let's be real, Ryan Day loses this game at home.

04:15He gets fired, Scott.

04:18There's not much pressure on him.

04:20Do you think he would have gotten fired anyway because he lost at Michigan again?

04:26I think if he wins a national championship, they're not firing him.

04:29If he loses the first game on their home field, it's almost like a nightmare for him that

04:41It's like, okay, no, we lost to Michigan on our home field as 20-point favorites, and

04:46we lost to Tennessee as seven-and-a-half-point favorites.

04:49He could be done, bro.

04:50I'll tell you what.

04:51Oregon, to me, is still the best team.

04:54That quarterback is incredible.

04:55That's who I'm taking away at all.

04:56Great coach.

04:57They won the game.

04:58They're dangerous.

04:59I think they can beat anyone that they play.

05:02Obviously, they're going to play the winner of that game.

05:05So imagine that game after Tennessee, Ohio State, and then they play the winner.
