00:00The construction of health facilities in rural areas is expected to be stronger.

00:05This is under the agreement of PhilHealth, Development Bank of the Philippines, and TINGOG Partylist.

00:11This is aimed at addressing the lack of healthcare infrastructure in remote areas.

00:16The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on this was made yesterday,

00:20which was led by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, along with officials of PhilHealth, DBP, and Camara.

00:27This is part of the project called Maalagang Republika Rural Financing Health Development Program.

00:33Under this, LGUs in DBP may be able to lend for the construction or modernization of healthcare facilities.

00:41PhilHealth will provide operational support under the National Health Insurance Program.

00:46TINGOG Partylist is also helping local governments to influence the establishment of public healthcare services.

00:54This program is expected to help in the implementation of the Universal Healthcare Act.
