I tried KFC's new Stuffing Tower burger....

To celebrate the start of the festive period, I went down to KFC to try their new Stuffing Tower burger to see how the chicken-y Christmas sandwich stacked up...

00:00Hi guys, my name's Jack Marshall, I'm a digital reporter with the City World Metro Group focusing

00:08on food, drink and lifestyle and I'm here today at my local KFC to grab myself a stuffing

00:15tower burger. Now this is one of their limited edition kind of festive offerings, it's for

00:21sale for £7.49 so I thought I'd grab myself one of these, try it out, see what it's like

00:25It's essentially a piece of their original recipe of boneless chicken with a sage and

00:30onion stuffing and some cranberry sauce as well so kind of Christmas vibes done KFC style

00:35as you'll have seen from their numerous adverts where they're like, oh we could do something

00:39turkey based and then they carry on saying, no they're going to refuse, I'm going to keep

00:42doing chicken, which fair enough, they're famous for the chicken. So, first size, if

00:48we can get it out, it looks pretty hefty, looks pretty saucy, looks pretty packed, let's

00:55crack on and have a bash, I'm afraid this is going to go everywhere. So yeah, it looks

00:59okay, it looks good, the kind of sage and onion stuffing disc thing looks a little bit

01:05different but the original recipe chicken's in there, bit of lettuce, loads of lettuce

01:10bits actually, get rid of some of that, let's have a bash. That's quite nice actually, so

01:25if you'll excuse me talking with my mouth full, it's got the original recipe chicken

01:31which is there, then obviously you can see it's got the sage and onion stuffing layer

01:34there and it's got a bit of cranberry in there as well, it's kind of got like a chilli

01:41cranberry jam, almost like gravy jam thing, I don't know what I'm saying now, but yeah

01:48you can see it seeping all through there, it's quite nice, it's got a nice flavour to

01:52it, very sweet but it goes well with the sage and onion stuffing which is a very savoury

01:56kind of salty flavour and then obviously you've got the chicken as well. I'm not really getting

01:59much chicken so far but I've only had a little bite, so we'll have another bash and see what

02:03we get. It's nice, it's got that classic KFC chicken taste, it's not missing that which

02:19is good, it's also got a lot of the Christmassy flavours to it, it's got a layer of cheese

02:25in there as well which I feel is a bit unnecessary but never mind. Yeah it's definitely got all

02:30the classic flavours of Christmas in there, very sweet cranberry, very very kind of like

02:37onion-y stuffing with the classic chicken. I was also like chicken on its own, that's

02:48really nice, that's classic KFC chicken, who doesn't like that? Vegetarians and vegans

02:53aside, yeah I'm quite impressed by this, it is quite nice. I was cynical about the

03:00look of the stuffing sage and onion stuffing disc because it looked a bit unappetising

03:06but it's actually quite nice, it packs a lot of flavour in there and it goes really well

03:10with the chilli jam they've done. Again I was cynical about that because there's lots

03:13of it on this burger, look at that, looks like a jam sandwich that. So they've done

03:17quite a nice job of balancing it all out, it works quite well. Yeah I'm quite impressed

03:22by this whole thing. Obviously you kind of know what you're expecting with this, it kind

03:27of feels like one of those things where the chicken is the part which is a bit incongruous

03:32which is weird when you're talking KFC. But anyway so we've tried the chicken, I can't

03:37get it wrong, the stuffing tower burger, £7.49, try it out, let us know if you like what KFC

03:43are doing for the festive period, should they just stick to regular chicken and just sack

03:47it off, I mean just do what you do best, chicken's a year round thing, we all love a bit of fried
