00:08Latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority shows the country's employment rate

00:13went up to 96.3 percent in September from last year's 95.5 percent while the unemployment rate

00:22dropped to 3.7 percent from 4.5 percent for the same period in 2023. Experts, however,

00:30did not rule out the threat posed by the effects to supply chain and jobs of recent calamities.

00:37The seasonal demand brought about by the Christmas season will have a huge impact

00:42as well as the infrastructure projects by the administration and the activities related to

00:48the upcoming elections in the creation of more opportunities to eke out a living.
