Travel in 2025: Holiday destination guide for the year ahead

From idyllic beach escapes to vibrant city adventures, there's no shortage of inspiration for every type of traveller.

00:00In lots of people as always going to Europe, the Italy's and the Spain's, the Italy's particularly,

00:06so we're seeing as you would expect, but we're seeing because the world is open fully again,

00:11we're seeing a demand for really far flung places, Morocco, Turkey, Jordan, you know,

00:17those really exotic, interesting cultures, people are flocking to those, South America

00:22is back open for business in a big way, we're seeing lots of bookings into Costa Rica, but

00:27places like Colombia that are just fascinating and not as many people have been there, Uzbekistan

00:33is a, you know, we sell Uzbekistan, it's not somewhere you think of as a major holiday

00:38destination, people just wanting to try things that they've never done or places they've

00:43never been, bookings to Antarctica, we've seen a 50% increase in, you know, that is

00:48a once in a lifetime classic bucket list destination, right, back to Peru, back to the Inca Trail,

00:56back to doing those things that were considered, you know, real once in a lifetime, life-affirming,

01:01life-changing things, people have got that, you know, you had that list before the pandemic,

01:05that list is now longer because people have had two or three years to add to it and dream

01:10about getting away, so those more exotic destinations are definitely in vogue this year for sure,

01:16and then we're seeing places like Lebanon where you can travel to again, we've got bookings

01:20coming in for Lebanon, which is fantastic to see, so as always Europe will be jam-packed,

01:25but the rest of the world will be filling up with some of these amazing destinations.

01:29In the past few years, peak times have brought with them huge queues, delays and even cancellations.

01:35Here's the advice from the experts to make sure your holiday gets off to a good start.

01:39I don't know about you, sometimes I don't always read the information I get from my

01:43travel company, make sure you've read it and be as prepared as you possibly can, but just

01:48don't let it get in the way of, you know, once you're through those queues, if there

01:51are queues, within a few hours you're going to be at your holiday destination having a

01:55great time, but just be prepared is my simple answer.
