00:25I'm gonna say this one humbly, but I really mean this.

00:27I think one day people are gonna wake up and realize that LL Cool J is the most important rapper that ever existed.

00:36Okay, maybe not.

00:38But LL lays out his case and he did do a lot of things first.

00:42This is the guy who introduced all the diamond and the ice and the champagne.

00:46This is the guy who introduced the love songs and all the love.

00:49LL Cool J did I Need Love in 1987. It was the first hip-hop love song.

00:53He changed what rap could be.

00:55As far as clothing becoming a thing in hip-hop, he's the guy who launched FUBU.

00:59If you're one of those people you want to say that Jay-Z or Kanye are like the greatest,

01:03they all came up on a label that he launched.

01:05Deaf Jam Records doesn't exist.

01:07Every artist that you can name, the biggest artists, the billionaire artists were launched on the label that I launched.
