00:03Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of £20,000 for key information into the death of a mum

00:09killed in a hit and run incident in Derbyshire. Alana Armstrong died at the scene of the collision

00:14in Batley Lane, Plesley at around 8pm on Tuesday 26th November. The collision involved an e-bike

00:22and a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle, believed to be a Land Rover Discovery, which had followed

00:27two e-bikes before ramming one of them, causing the rider and pillion passenger to fall off.

00:32The car then drove off from the scene without stopping. Alana, a 25-year-old mother to a 6-year-old

00:37boy, was riding pillion on the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. The rider of the bike, a man

00:43in his 20s, was taken to hospital and has since had to have his leg amputated below the knee.

00:48He remains in hospital. On Friday, Derbyshire Police released an image of a woman they wanted

00:53to speak to in connection with the incident. Following that appeal, a woman in her 30s from

00:59the Plesley area was arrested and has subsequently been bailed. Crime Stoppers is now supporting the

01:04investigation by offering up to £20,000 for information the charity exclusively

01:10receives via its website or by calling 0800 555 111 that leads to the conviction of anyone

01:18involved in the killing of Alana Armstrong. The reward is available for three months and

01:23information that is passed directly to the police will not qualify for the reward.

01:36have unanimously approved multi-million pound plans for a solar farm next to a nature reserve.

01:41Derbyshire County Council approved its own £3.75 million plans for a 25-acre solar farm

01:48off Mansfield Road next to Williamthorpe Nature Reserve between Chesterfield and Bolsover.

01:53The move comes despite concerns over the loss of countryside and the impact on wildlife.

01:58The solar farm plan will see 14,000 solar panels installed on two agricultural fields,

02:04historically a former colliery, to the east of the nature reserve between Homewood and the A617.
