00:24Department of Labor and Employment for displaced POGO workers in the country.
00:29This after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. banned the all-POGO activities and
00:34operations in the Philippines until the end of the year. She said that this is a
00:39huge help for people like her who are looking for a job.
00:54In total, the DoLE has held four special job fairs in
00:58different places in Metro Manila. More than 200 internet gaming licensees or
01:03IGL workers are hired on the spot. More than 400 applicants have been
01:08helped to avail of SSS unemployment insurance benefit. More than 700 IGL
01:14employees have been included in employment facilitation. More than a
01:17hundred IGL workers will receive livelihood assistance and with two IGL
01:22workers subjected to skills or technical training.
01:29Meanwhile, the average employment rate in the
01:45country increased by more than 1%. That is equivalent to over 48 million
01:50Filipinos who are recorded to be employed higher or paid over the
01:55average or minimum wage than over 47 million individual last year. The
02:00recorded average of unemployment rate in the country dropped by more than 1%.
