00:22This is what the Department of Migrant Workers announced in the Overseas Labor Market Forum.

00:28The agency also gave a statement on bilateral cooperation and multilateral engagements

00:35that will take care of the well-being of Overseas Filipino workers.

00:39They also emphasized their safe, ethical, transparent, and sustainable mobility.

00:45We are aggressive on what we call bilateral labor relations engagements, bilateral labor diplomacy.

00:52The continued strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations with employers from different sectors

00:56in increasing the local job market and upskilling of workers.

01:00The DMW also emphasized their campaign against illegal recruiters and human traffickers.

01:07This includes the Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Person Campaign or Airtip.

01:12We will always have to assume that illegal recruitment and human trafficking is a scourge that continues.

01:17We can't rest because if not, more people will be victims.

01:21Meanwhile, the DMW announced that Japan will open more than 800,000 jobs for Filipino workers in the next five years.

01:30More than 20,000 of these jobs will go to the automobile industry as taxi drivers.

01:36This is a huge opportunity, especially for our domestic workers who want to increase their salaries.

01:47The DMW's target is to open two more migrant workers' offices before the end of the year.

01:53Aside from the two offices that were opened this year,

01:57they also plan to build jobs in Africa, Asia, and Europe in the next year.
