00:55I was hearing earlier in the show that we have a Big Brother bombshell.

01:05For those of you who were watching Big Brother just before Rove Live went to air,

01:10you'll know Belinda was in the diary room because she got called in there by Big Brother,

01:15and she said she wanted to leave the house.

01:17She'd had enough, it was all getting a bit too hard for her.

01:19Well, I can tell you right now, Belinda has left the house.

01:21Belinda has actually...

01:23For the first time...

01:25Yes, make a noise.

01:27For the first time ever in the history of Big Brother, all over the world,

01:29a housemate has actually volunteered to be taken out of the house.

01:32So, we've only just got word of this, so what we're actually going to do

01:35is try to cross to Gretel Colleen later in the show

01:38to get all the gossip on what has actually happened,

01:40but I can confirm, can confirm, Belinda left the house.

02:30I mentioned before that Belinda, Big Brother housemate,

02:34Belinda has had herself taken out of the Big Brother house.

02:37It all got a bit too much for her, I believe.

02:39To get to the bottom of the story,

02:41we have Big Brother hostess, with the mostest, Gretel Colleen,

02:45on the line from Big Brother Central.

02:47Hello, Gretel.

02:48Hey, Rove, how are you?

02:49I'm very excited.

02:50It's all tense here.

02:51What has happened?

02:52Well, you know, she's had a pretty tough time in the house,

02:56and then last night Belinda went in to have a chat with Big Brother

02:59and suggested that she's contemplating leaving.

03:03She went through today to see how she'd go,

03:06and then tonight went in to speak to Big Brother.

03:08She had a long chat with him.

03:10Big Brother thought it would be a good idea if she chatted with Carmel

03:13before she made any big decisions.

03:15Do you know Carmel's our psychologist?

03:16The psychologist.

03:17I love her work.

03:18She's fantastic.

03:19It's a massive decision.

03:20I mean, so much of the nation is watching you.

03:24She's only 20 years old.

03:26She's had a really intense time in the house.

03:30Now, I thought she was getting better.

03:32Wasn't it the last couple of days I thought she was getting better

03:34and feeling more comfortable?

03:35Yes, but then, of course, we had the big fight in the house last night,

03:39which we saw on the special show tonight from 7 to 8,

03:41where she had massive conflict with Ben.

03:44Yes, and he said, should I flip with one eye open was his line,

03:48and I was thinking, if I was in the house, yes, you bloody would, Ben.

03:51Oh, I thought that was a bit of drama myself.

03:53Yes.

03:54I'm just a grown man.

03:55What's he carrying on about?

03:57So, now, these are live pictures from the house.

03:58How's the rest of the house taken to Belinda leaving?

04:17It all comes down to the negativity of the house,

04:22and the people in here are wonderful and beautiful people.

04:29They're great people, but in this environment,

04:32I can't get my head around the negativity

04:38and the hurtfulness that's being brought to each other,

04:41and from that I've actually found quite a lot of anger in myself.

04:48Wow.

04:49So, Gretel, do the other housemates know that she's actually left?

04:53Yeah, this was the interesting thing.

04:54She went in, spoke to Big Brother, spoke to Carmel,

04:57finally made a decision and announced it,

04:59and also made the decision that she wouldn't go in and tell the other housemates,

05:02that she would just leave.

05:04I can completely understand that.

05:06So she left through the alternative, which is actually a secret door in the diary room.

05:11So the housemates had no idea that she'd left.

05:13They were all busy working on a musical task.

05:15Have they been told now?

05:17They've since been called in to the diary room, and they were quite downcast.

05:24Joe and Chrissie teary and upset, and then they all emerged from there and went off into their separate directions.

05:32And look at poor Vincent, he's thinking, oh, one less chick to crack onto. He's very upset.

05:37Yeah, I think Vincent did take the news in a very interesting way,

05:40but we'll churn in with that tomorrow night.

05:43The good thing is Belinda's been met by her family,

05:46and some friends have come down from Brisbane.

05:48She's a local girl up there.

05:49They've come down, and her boyfriend's there as well.

05:52So a well-considered decision, and she's really supported.

05:55So I'm pleased about that, because I've watched her in the house,

05:58and just thought, gee, you're a strong little thing.

06:01You know, like, she's really had a hard time,

06:03and I just feel proud that she's made this decision.

06:05But for all the updates, we have to tune in for The Daily Show tomorrow night.

07:20Oh, you know, it's such a surreal environment in there.

07:26And I was happy either way.

07:28I mean, I think they sort of showed me being a little bit,

07:30oh, I want to get out here.

07:31But the truth is, I was having a lot of fun in there.

07:33And now I look back on her, I'm like, whoa, I was having heaps of fun in there.

07:36Now, how have you reacted to all this news about Belinda?

07:39Oh, I was shocked.

07:40Like, I found out, like, you know, not long ago.

07:43And I was just like, whoa, this is crazy.

07:45I didn't think that she would actually pull out because I didn't think she was a quitter.

07:49Because she'd been through so much in the other house.

07:51I thought, well, you know, all right, just go strong.

07:54But she didn't.

07:55I'm kind of, I wish she had stayed.

07:57So, did you see, was there friction in the house?

08:00It just seemed this year there's a lot more of butting of heads than normally.

08:03Oh, yeah, there's friction in the house.

08:05It's good, though.

08:07It adds to, I don't know, the intensity of it.

08:10It's definitely, it's got to be different than the previous houses.

08:13The whole entire dynamics are completely different.

08:15There's two houses and we've been merged.

08:18It hasn't happened before.

08:19But it just makes it a whole lot more interesting, I think.

08:21Now, how was it for you when the houses did come together?

08:24Because you'd been squawking to everybody over the hall.

08:27Now, Carla was one of the people who you were communicating with the most.

08:33Was he?

08:34Well, it seemed that way.

08:35He was one of the ones.

08:36Well, he's pretty loud, too.

08:37When you actually got to the point where you actually did meet these people

08:39that you'd been talking to over the fence.

08:41And, yes, I am talking about Carla specifically.

08:44How was your impression of them beforehand and after?

08:48Well, I sort of felt, from speaking to them, I thought,

08:52Oh, my gosh, they're having such a fantastic time over there.

08:54They're so loud and I'm here and I'm bored.

08:56And I'm, yep, okay, they're talking about politics again

08:59and I have no idea what's going on.

09:01So when I actually, when we merged together, it was a relief for me.

09:05It was so good.

09:06I got to see, you know, who I was talking to.

09:10Well, supposedly who I was talking to.

09:12And the personalities were pretty much what I matched them up to be.

09:15And it was really good.

09:16It was just a relief in the end.

09:18So was there anyone you didn't get along with?

09:20In the house?

09:21Yes.

09:22Hmm, Ben maybe?

09:23I don't like Ben.

09:24No, well.

09:25I mean, Carlo, jeez, I mean, he's out now so we can leave him be

09:29but, God, he's still rubbing me up the wrong way.

09:31But Ben is just, I don't like the way he seems to be patronising everybody,

09:36especially Reg.

09:37Because you don't, you don't, oof, don't diss my Reg.

09:39Don't touch Reg.

09:40Not on my time, sunshine.

09:41Not even, yeah.

09:42Reg is awesome and I hope that she takes it all out.

09:44I really do.

09:45And Australia has fallen in love with her.

09:48But yeah, Ben definitely because he just seems to, I don't know.

09:52I think he'll be great to go down to the pub, you know, after the show's finished.

09:56But while inside that house, he's quite manipulative and really quite nasty.

10:01Well, the stories I've heard, maybe you don't want to go to the pub with Ben.

10:03But anyway, what I'd like to know, Leah, you and Jamie, what happened?

10:09Nothing happened.

10:10Oh, come on, you were getting all, look at us.

10:13I've got a bed and well, we've got, we both need a bed, don't we?

10:19Jamie, who actually did have a girlfriend, or Claire, who sleeps naked and is a lesbian.
