00:00It's week four on The Insider, and Tim Ferguson makes sure again that Fleur Michelle sits right next to him.
00:23But Fleur isn't interested. She only has eyes for Party Paslow.
00:27But Party seems very taken with intruder Holly Brisley, whereas Holly is strangely attracted to fellow newcomer Tommy Dean.
00:39And no one's looking at me, voiceover guy Mike Goldman.
00:44But I think, oh thanks, I think our host Tim Ferguson has something to say.
00:49What is it, Tim? What is it? Tell us!
00:51Quick, Tim! Come on, Tim!
00:52Hello and welcome to The Insider!
00:57This is The Insider Live, the only TV show in the whole world with its own web page.
01:07Well, maybe not the only one, but ours is brand new.
01:10It's just come online today, so get clicking to bigbrother.optus.com.au forward slash The Insider
01:17and be among the first people to visit.
01:20You made that yourself, didn't you?
01:21Oh yeah, but the forward slash...
01:24I saw your last one.
01:25This week...
01:26Here we go.
01:28This week, bigbrother blew his horn and the walls came tumbling down.
01:35Fifty-five people spent fifteen hours moving two and a half tons of house, and then they had to do it again.
01:44See, I think that was a mistake.
01:45Exciting, though.
01:46That should have been a task set for the people inside.
01:50Demolition time.
01:51They have Daniel complaining, Belinda just didn't drive the forklift enough.
01:54I'm surprised how fast they ran.
01:56What were they on?
01:57I wanted the whole Berlin Wall.
01:59I wanted mallets, people cheering, guards with guns.
02:02You too, well, cool.
02:04Yeah, that's pretty cool.
02:05Well, cool.
02:05Yes, of course, it's a whole new house now.
02:07They put the two houses together.
02:09We're expecting the pitter-patter of little houses fairly shortly.
02:12Two become one.
02:13But the big house is so big now, there are places to actually go into the corners.
02:17Yeah, that's true.
02:18There's no way to actually hide from the cameras, though, because obviously there's cameras everywhere.
02:21But there are those little nooks and crannies where, you know, Chrissie and Reggie can sit down and have a little talk about Ben,
02:27or, you know, Saxon and Leah can go and talk about someone else.
02:30So it's great because it's making the housemates run off and have little chats, and that's what we want to see.
02:34Yeah, Ben's been in the pool talking to Leah about Joe, and it's been very sneaky.
02:39It's really changed the dynamic between the people as well.
02:43They're each house against each other, and how their relationships are now.
02:46Ben and Reggie, for one in particular.
02:48Or Ben said, if you want a war, Chrissie, you'll get a war.
02:51So this means war.
02:52It's got a war.
02:53It would have been really interesting if Reggie had been pregnant, because I think Ben would have taken a more under his wing,
02:59a caring, sharing, papa bear, Ben.
03:01I think from a show's point of view, though, there would have been a concern,
03:05because one of the great hallmarks of when a show is falling apart is when one of the stars is suddenly pregnant.
03:11So it's probably just as well for the series that she killed off.
03:14That's terrible, because I have something to announce that it might be killing this show.
03:18A what?
03:18I'm expecting.
03:21I was going to ask you when you're just showing me, Ben.
03:23You can see her coming out with a little beard.
03:28And what do you think about Ben and Regina?
03:30They've been having their own little war there.
03:32Do you think they're going to be friends by the time this is all over?
03:34I think that they will be.
03:36I mean, I think she's having a hard time.
03:38The two different Bens.
03:40There was the old Ben and the new Ben.
03:41Which one is he really?
03:43There must be a third one now.
03:44We had square Ben, round Ben.
03:45This is big Ben.
03:46But it's not all him.
03:49She's getting a bit gnarky, too.
03:51Lots of people are getting a little bit annoyed with Regina.
03:53Aren't they?
03:54Oh, I've been annoyed with her since I met her.
03:56She's got the highest.
03:58She's got a very high popularity rate.
04:00It has gone down this week, though.
04:02Oh, fan club.
04:04I can tell you, I printed it out off the website.
04:06Her popularity is now at 38%.
04:07Which is lower than last week, because it was 46%.
04:10She's given some to Chrissy.
04:11Chrissy's gone from 2% to 8%.
04:14I'm the fact man.
04:17Do you think that's because she's been crying a lot?
04:19What do you think that is?
04:20Oh, yeah.
04:21I noticed.
04:21Well, if you saw on today's show,
04:22she went from the Kleenex to the toilet paper
04:25to the big hand towel.
04:26So she's...
04:26She's taking her way out the Kleenex.
04:28Yeah, she's having a lot of cries.
04:30But I don't know if it's winning her any points.
04:31Maybe sympathy vote?
04:33Not sure.
04:33But everyone cries.
04:34Leah cries.
04:35Joe cries.
04:36It's good to cry.
04:37Patrick was doing something in the room.
04:39That's what I saw.
04:40We can all bond.
04:41I can see the ratings, maybe.
04:43When the big wall came down,
04:45a few people's own walls came down.
04:48Vincent, I think, we saw with Joe.
04:51And some lovely things to show.
04:53And a pretty good pick-up line, I thought.
04:56Oh, that's a great pick-up line.
04:57Here it is.
04:59The last two weeks,
05:01it's been like, you know when you get that tight feeling in your chest?
05:04Yeah.
05:04Anxiety.
05:06And for the first time last night,
05:08it disappeared.
05:09It disappeared.
05:10Nice.
05:11And I think it happened when you said,
05:13Hi, I'm Joe.
05:17That's so sweet.
05:21Oh, Tommy, what do you think?
05:24It is so sweet.
05:26It's almost too sweet.
05:27She either had a choice of saying,
05:28how sweet, or puking in his lap.
05:30It seems to be too sweet.
05:31And I'm really surprised.
05:32He seems to be exuding some sort of outrageous confidence
05:35because, as far as I'm concerned,
05:37most men don't get that tight feeling in the chest
05:39until the cover model actually says hi.
05:42At that time, you've got to seize up,
05:44She's talking to me!
05:46It shows that they're getting better.
05:48As each series progresses,
05:49the housemates are more advanced.
05:51Because, remember, Brodie had no concept of his own charisma.
05:53That was the official thing.
05:55Whereas, Vincent definitely does.
05:57He knows exactly the extent.
05:58That last little look when he just paused and kept looking at us.
06:00He's just being nice.
06:01He's got a girlfriend.
06:03He's not interested in Jo that much.
06:05You don't do that if you've got a girlfriend.
06:08Mind you, he doesn't name her,
06:09so she might be just a made-up one.
06:11Tomorrow he'll be saying,
06:12Imaginary girlfriend.
06:13You complete me.
06:14That'll be the next line.
06:16You complete me.
06:17My imaginary girlfriend's cheating on me with Vincent.
06:19Well, the big question is,
06:21has Leah changed since the walls came down,
06:24or is she still the same person that we all love?
06:26If you want to evict Leah and break a young girl's heart,
06:29call 1902 555 572 or SMS Leah to 188 1010,
06:39if you really have to.
06:41And next up on the Insider,
06:42Flo Michelle's media files
06:44and the voice of Big Brother's daily show,
06:47Mr. Mike Goldman,
06:48right here.
06:50I think we've been a quieter version of Patrick,
06:53and I think as time goes on,
06:55he will probably turn the volume up a bit.
06:57He is a romantic guy.
06:59He always used to buy wine.
07:02He'd bring over chocolates, flowers,
07:05lots of nice things.
07:06Patrick and I,
07:07we're very good friends since we've broken up,
07:11and because of that,
07:13I don't actually feel any jealousy.
07:15And if he does get together with somebody,
07:17I'd be quite happy for him, actually.
07:19Patrick is a bit of a heartthrob in the house,
07:22and a lot of my friends since he's gone on there
07:24have decided to tell me how appealing he is
07:26and how much they really like him
07:28and how cute he is and how adorable he is.
07:30So it's quite funny
07:32because they never told me that when we're going out.
07:37Saxon?
07:42Hey, Saxon, let's go for a surf.
07:45Saxon, let's have a surf.
07:47At the beach?
07:48The beach, Saxon.
07:49You made the beach.
07:55Okey-doke.
07:55Welcome back to The Insider Party.
07:58Party, we're live.
07:59Party.
08:00Oh, Joe says that I like buns.
08:03That's one of the first things you look at.
08:04How tall are the men she goes out with?
08:07They've got to be very tall.
08:10Now, Fleur, just before the break there,
08:12of course we saw you chatting to one of Patrick's exes.
08:15Do you think he's quite the heartthrob
08:16that you thought he was last week?
08:18Yeah, I do.
08:19And look, what it's about is that he's good boyfriend material.
08:21That's his appeal.
08:23Don't you think, Paul?
08:24That's nice.
08:25He can share his skincare products.
08:26Doesn't he sort of stray into the land of cliché with the whole,
08:32well, you know, he brings wines and chocolate and roses.
08:35He's never really had an original thought.
08:37I've got something he doesn't.
08:38There's something to be said, yes.
08:40Receiving flowers and chocolate.
08:41Exactly.
08:42I'm with you.
08:43I'm with you.
08:43There's something he's never given anybody.
08:45This is a vial of the spa water from the house.
08:49We call it Big Brother's bubbling burgundy.
08:56And it could be yours.
08:58If you want to win this moist memento,
09:00send us an email right now to theinsider
09:02at bigbrother.optus.com.au
09:04and tell us what this water could do for you.
09:09Any thoughts, Paddy?
09:11Well, you know those snowballs that you turn upside down,
09:14they have Christmas and the snow...
09:15I've got an old dried out one, you know,
09:17if I put that in.
09:18And who knows what other flakes of things
09:20would be drifting downwards.
09:21Plus, look, there's a mosquito in it.
09:23There's a bug in there.
09:24There's a bug in there as well.
09:25Yeah.
09:26It could be anything.
09:28Fleur Michelle knows so much about the media.
09:30She's almost like psychic.
09:31She's like a media medium.
09:34Fleur?
09:35I'm a medium?
09:36That's right.
09:37Well, it is well above average.
09:39Now, Fleur, what's been going on
09:41with the rumours about Blair and Ben going into the house?
09:43Yeah, look, that was the hot celebrity rumour for this week.
09:46You know, they could be going back in the house.
09:48They could be reunited in the house.
09:50Would you guys love to see them back there?
09:54I don't think that would be a good idea
09:56because if I recall their last appearance in the house,
09:58pretty much all they would do is go in there
10:00and sort of hug each other.
10:01And they would dance around with each other
10:03and they'd hug each other
10:04and tell each other what great mates they are.
10:05And then they probably wouldn't even realise
10:06there was a whole other house behind them.
10:08And, Toy, remember the greyhound races too.
10:10I don't think I could take it again.
10:12Blair's got a girlfriend on the Gold Coast,
10:13so he's up there almost every weekend,
10:15so that's probably where that rumour came from.
10:16Oh, I see.
10:17Blair and Ben going back into the house.
10:19Blair and Ben.
10:20Blah, blah, blah, little weed.
10:21We'll see what that's about.
10:22I actually emailed Big Brother
10:23in his Switzerland mountain, Erie,
10:26and he sent me a response.
10:27I said, are Blair and Ben going into the house?
10:29And he said...
10:30No.
10:33So that's one media rumour quashed.
10:35To scrub that out, thanks for telling me that, Tim.
10:37You spent a bit of time with Carlo, you lucky person.
10:39I did.
10:39I am all Carlo'd out.
10:40Now, we took Carlo for a makeover
10:42at the June Daly Watkins School.
10:44Now, I think we've got a...
10:46I think this is him before, pre-loved,
10:48and this is him afterwards.
10:51I buy a used car from him.
10:53I think he looks great.
10:55Would you buy a used Ferrari from him?
10:57Would you buy some used plumbing from him?
10:59That's the question.
11:00No.
11:01And it's just a lucky thing
11:02that he was not in a spa before you got that water.
11:05That's all I have to say.
11:06Was it in a spa,
11:07or was it just Carlo sitting down the water?
11:10I don't want it anymore.
11:12If it hasn't got Carlo in it, I don't want it.
11:13Drink it.
11:14Big Brother also sent this down to me.
11:16This is a letter that was sent to him,
11:18and it's got no stamp,
11:20but it actually made it, thanks to Aussie Post.
11:22It was just addressed to Big Brother,
11:24Dream World, Queensland,
11:26and it actually got to him.
11:27It's a great letter.
11:28That's fantastic.
11:30I'm going to use that from now on.
11:31Yeah, yeah.
11:32Use it for all your bits.
11:32That's sending all my mail like that.
11:33And it just says,
11:35to Big Bortha,
11:36I hope you're having a good time from Riley.
11:40On your way.
11:41Riley, there you go, Riley.
11:44And he's got a picture of a cow on the back,
11:47which is great.
11:48Good on you, Riley.
11:48It's not a cow.
11:50He is 67.
11:51I don't know what that's about,
11:54but now let's find out more
11:56about the man behind Big Brother's mic,
11:59Big Brother's Mike Goldman.
12:00Hey, Michael.
12:01It's me.
12:03Hello.
12:04Hello.
12:04It's great to be here for the first time.
12:06Thank you very much for having me.
12:07You know everything about what's happening up there,
12:08even the eviction van.
12:10I know absolutely everything that's written out
12:11on a script for me, yes.
12:13Do you know when to sleep?
12:15No, I'm not sleeping very much at the moment
12:16because I'm doing brain teasers
12:18during Big Brother up late from 11.30,
12:20giving away $2,000 cash a night.
12:22I'll be doing it tonight, too.
12:23Got to fly back to Brisbane later.
12:24Oh, well, it's a nice place to go, though.
12:26Yeah, yeah.
12:27Now, you've been inside the eviction van.
12:29Is it comfortable in there?
12:30The eviction van,
12:30we get a lot of questions
12:31about the Big Brother eviction van
12:33because for the last two years,
12:34as most of you will know,
12:35that we've had the little golf buggy
12:37and we had a little bit of trouble with those
12:38and they kept getting stolen
12:39and crashing into the lake.
12:41So we've got this van
12:43that we put the housemates in
12:44and they have no idea
12:45but here, I've filmed a little thing for you.
12:47Have a look.
12:50This is the eviction van,
12:51the milk truck,
12:52the vein van we even called it
12:54because of these nice mirrors
12:54and the housemates can fix their hair.
12:56Also, this video screen here
12:57where Big Brother plays a montage
12:59of what the housemate has done in the house.
13:01It's all nice and happy
13:02but it confuses them
13:03because the last couple of years
13:04they got driven from the house
13:06to the eviction show stage
13:07in the little golf buggy
13:08but this time around
13:09they get this soundproof van
13:10and it really messes with their head
13:12until they get to the eviction show stage
13:14and thousands of screaming fans.
13:18We've got screaming fans right here.
13:20Screaming fans there.
13:22Mike, there's a competition
13:23that you're doing on the show,
13:24the Strepsils competition?
13:25Yes, there is.
13:26Let's just play it
13:27and if you can pick up on the clue
13:28you can win a good prize.
13:29We'll tell you about it straight after.
13:30Here it goes.
13:30Oh, hello.
13:32Oh, no, look.
13:33It's not going to work.
13:34Yeah, I think I might need a
13:36Strepsil.
13:38That's getting a little bit better.
13:39Doesn't feel too bad, actually.
13:41I think that's working quite well.
13:43Yes.
13:44Okay, here we go.
13:46In week four
13:47our favourite jailer
13:48is playing with the housemate's mind.
13:51Yes.
13:52What a boy.
13:53It's a golden boy.
13:53That's a good piece of television.
13:54You should clap louder.
13:55What you've got to do is
13:56pick up on the cryptic clue
13:58and you can win a date
13:59with a housemate.
14:00Who'd like a date
14:00with a housemate?
14:01Anyone here?
14:01Which one?
14:02Hang on, which one?
14:03Which one?
14:03I think, I believe
14:04you can take your pick,
14:05girl or guy.
14:06Do you have to wait
14:06for them to come out?
14:08Sorry?
14:08Do you have to wait
14:09for them to come out
14:09or can you meet them
14:10in the diary room?
14:11I'm sure if you want
14:12them to come out,
14:13they can.
14:15Okay, well,
14:16Big Brother wants you
14:16to do your duty
14:18so get on the phone
14:19right now.
14:20If you never want to hear
14:21one of Daniel's funny voices
14:22again, call
14:231-9-0-2-3-5-5-6-2
14:27or SMS Daniel
14:28to 1-88-10-10.
14:31And next up,
14:32I get to say something
14:33I've always wanted to say.
14:34I get to say,
14:35here's Moira.
14:45Always wanted to be
14:46near Hasties.
14:47Really?
14:48Yeah, I just love
14:49flying.
14:50So what happened there?
14:51Oh, because back then
14:53they had the heart
14:54restrictions.
14:55The thing is,
14:56I really want to get out of here
14:57and do that sort of
14:58on the computer
14:59and do some sort of
15:00fashion designing.
15:06So that's what Saxon
15:08and Regina want to be
15:09when they grow up,
15:10but what about the others?
15:11To give us an idea
15:12of the housemate's futures,
15:15here's Moira.
15:16Yeah.
15:16That's not the same.
15:21I'm sorry, Tim.
15:23Oh, that's...
15:23But you're nearly there.
15:24You don't have the toupee.
15:25Well, if I don't have a future
15:26saying, here's Moira,
15:27what about the housemates?
15:28What are their futures?
15:29I think there's a massive
15:30potential there.
15:31And I know a lot of people
15:32are going to go,
15:32what is she talking about?
15:33But Carlo, to me,
15:34he's just given us
15:35so many different angles.
15:36If I was a creative...
15:38Yeah, you're right, funny.
15:41If I was a creative director
15:42at an agency,
15:43I think I'd be teeing up
15:44lunch mighty fast
15:45with, say,
15:46the marketing director
15:47of a gardening products company.
15:49And here's what I'd pitch to him.
15:51Now, just picture this,
15:52a lush, beautiful garden.
15:54In it, we see a young man
15:55with blonde, wavy hair
15:56back to camera
15:57in an all-too-familiar pose
15:59and a little tinkling of water.
16:01And the caption that would come up
16:02on the screen would read,
16:04Acme Gardening Products,
16:05because there's so much more to do
16:07than just water the garden.
16:09I mean, you know,
16:09come on, it works.
16:10Either that or maybe baked beans.
16:12They're building a Carlo statue
16:14in Copenhagen.
16:15It's very cute.
16:16How about Ben?
16:17Ben, oh, look,
16:18well, very seriously there.
16:19I think he's got the confidence.
16:20He's a communicator.
16:21I can really see him
16:22as, say, a sports reporter.
16:24Or because this week
16:25he's just been so aggressive.
16:27Maybe one of those
16:28foot-in-the-door journalists.
16:29Yeah, well,
16:30and he who's to Beauty and the Beast.
16:32Oh, yes.
16:33He could do that.
16:34He could do that.
16:35Yeah, but Reggie,
16:36I've had a bit of an idea there.
16:38Because you know how the UK
16:39have got Nigella Lawson,
16:41absolutely gorgeous.
16:42And I thought,
16:42we could do an Aussie spin on that
16:44and have Reggie.
16:46And she could be like a female
16:48Steve Irwin.
16:50Oh, I can see her in the kitchen.
16:55Now, you get the meat pie
16:56and you put it in the oven.
16:58Oh, wait,
16:59where's the oven instructions again now?
17:01Where's the tomato sauce?
17:02How do you use this thing?
17:03I love the way she speaks.
17:06I love it.
17:06Oh, she's a classic, absolutely.
17:08She's a lovely lady.
17:09How about Vincent?
17:11Oh.
17:11He's a lovely lady.
17:12Well, as you guys were saying before,
17:14I mean,
17:14just the lines that are coming out
17:16and,
17:16as Barbara Cutland would say,
17:18the aquiline features
17:19that we see
17:19silhouetted against the setting sun,
17:21the bold and the beautiful
17:22without a doubt.
17:24Yeah.
17:24Yes.
17:25For Joanna,
17:26she'd fit in there somewhere.
17:27Oh, she's beautiful.
17:28I mean,
17:28even tonight she was sick.
17:30I mean,
17:30we've seen her,
17:31like, crying.
17:32She's still beautiful.
17:33So,
17:33neighbours perhaps.
17:34Yes,
17:35different neighbours.
17:36I can see her in Ramsey Street.
17:37Easy.
17:38You saw her in Ralph
17:39and got your nose caught on the staple.
17:40It's still bleeding.
17:42That's what I think's funny.
17:43To say that crying is beautiful,
17:44do you think Ralph would ever have
17:45a cover shot of,
17:46like,
17:47Jo?
17:49Because she hadn't had those words on yet.
17:49Like her bikini just flaring underneath.
17:51Oh,
17:52catching the glimmer of her tears.
17:55And speaking of jobs,
17:56Mike,
17:57it's time for you to do yours.
17:58Oh my God,
17:59where's my script?
