00:00There you go. We'll be right back with more World Live after this.
00:16Okay, it's been a very big week in the Big Brother house with two landmark events happening.
00:21First, a housemate evicted with the largest majority ever.
00:26We'll be talking to him a little later, but first we're going to chat to the first housemate to ever leave voluntarily from the house.
00:32Please welcome Belinda.
00:34Hello, welcome. How are you going?
00:37Wonderful.
00:38Yeah, wonderful.
00:39Now, firstly, of course, you voluntarily left the house.
00:43Now, tonight they showed the footage of you from last night going back to chat to everybody.
00:47Now, how was that going back into the house?
00:49Oh, it was so exciting. I got to see my three favourites, Reggie, Chrissie and Dan.
00:53Ah, yes. Now, you got in trouble for talking about the outside world, Belinda.
00:59Oh, no.
01:00Tell everybody what you did.
01:02I told Jo that she was on the cover of Ralph.
01:05Right.
01:07I told Vincent to stop paring and growling.
01:12But, no, you shouldn't have done that because that amuses me nowhere.
01:15Once again, to do that, I never thought I'd find love in this house.
01:20Very nice.
01:21Now, did you get in trouble for doing that?
01:23No.
01:24I thought that was against the rules.
01:26Yeah, it was.
01:27But you're no longer a housemate.
01:28That's right.
01:29Well, you must be happy to be out because there was in the house, obviously, you chose to leave.
01:34Wasn't having the greatest time.
01:36Take us through, I guess, what went wrong.
01:38Okay.
01:39Sort of the reason I left, in a way.
01:41Okay.
01:42Well, we've got half the reason I left was because of my own personal issues that I'd like to deal with.
01:47Yes.
01:47Which we can talk about later if you want.
01:50And the other half would definitely have to be I was sick and tired of all the fighting, bickering, backstabbing that was going on 24-7.
02:04And I thought, look, I've come into the house to help people.
02:08How can I?
02:09I thought, the only way I'm going to be able to do that is leave, give them a message, not let them see me or know that I'm leaving.
02:16And let them know that way through a message, stop fighting, have fun.
02:19You're here to respect each other and to have fun, not to fight.
02:23So it was part of the reason you went in with everything you've had to deal with, which people are aware of, so we don't need to go there.
02:30But was that part of your reason for going into the house and the hope that that would help, I don't know, help you come to terms with everything that's happened?
02:36Maybe, I don't know, take your mind off it to some extent and then it just turned out to be something completely unexpected for you?
02:41Yeah, no, I didn't think I even thought of those issues.
02:45I didn't think I had those issues until I did walk into the house.
02:48But the reason I went in to the house was to, first of all, see if I can get in, for starters, and then to help people, because I love helping people.
02:56Now, what was the house like without Carlo and Ben in there?
03:01It was exciting.
03:03Well, I didn't, oh, well, last night was the only time I got to have it without Ben and Carlo.
03:05Yes, but did it seem different? Did everyone else seem excited and happy and happy to be there?
03:10It was a whole different aura. The house was wonderful. The people were so happy, so excited.
03:16Well, let's bring the man out himself, evicted on Sunday with a whopping, I believe it was 73%, Ben, ladies and gentlemen.
03:34What?
03:34Now, when you heard about Belinda choosing to leave the house, you stuck around in the diary room.
03:44When all the housemates were told, you chose to stick around in the diary room and said that when you left the house, there were some things you would like to chat to Belinda about.
03:52Have you done that yet?
03:53Yes, we have had little chats here and there. We've bumped into each other about four or five times in the last couple of days, and I think actions speak louder than words, would that be fair to say?
04:05Yes, that's fine.
04:06We've had our little chats, and we're as friendly as we're ever going to be, hey?
04:10So, Belinda, your opinion of Ben prior to leaving and then after having spoken to him?
04:21Very different. I still, of course, haven't talked to him about a few issues that I would like to talk about. Just a few words that were said.
04:30But, um, I'm sure that'll come. But in the house, yes, I saw him as, um...
04:37A bully? I saw you as a bully, Ben. Would you say you were a bully?
04:41Yep.
04:41You would?
04:42Belinda went in to help people. I went in to bully and have fun, stir the pot and try and make it interesting for you guys.
04:48And unfortunately, Belinda was the brunt of it.
04:51So do you feel, do you feel bad for, uh, the way you treated everybody?
04:57I do, I do, but I think we had relationships prior to that where you knew exactly, well, I felt that you knew exactly how far you could go, and there was times where you had to go over the top and there was tit for tat and there was arguments and...
05:09Well, it wasn't really tit for tat because no one had it. The only person who spoke up to you was Chrissy. Interesting that you say she was your least favourite housemate, almost like you can give people shit but you can't take it.
05:18Now, no one, because no one else had the chance, it wasn't tit for tat, no one else had a chance to have a go at you. It was a bit one-sided.
05:25Oh, no, I don't think, you've watched the 24 hours every day since it started?
05:28Yes, I have.
05:28You have?
05:28What do you think?
05:39Did you enjoy it?
05:40I enjoyed parts of it, yes, indeed.
05:44What parts did you enjoy?
05:46Uh, you and Carlo, probably.
05:48No, I just, I felt that maybe, uh, in some ways you were just pushing people around a bit and that, you say that people weren't being themselves, but I also feel maybe you didn't give them the chance to because they were, in a sense, in a state of fear.
06:02Well, no, I don't agree.
06:03You don't agree?
06:04Don't agree at all, I mean.
06:05Now, Belinda, you disagree with that?
06:07With me.
06:08No, I was in a state of fear, that's why I wasn't myself, that's why I wasn't so bubbly and happy and, and, um, wanting to be myself in there, because every time I was, I'd get shut right back down, so, and that was definitely a major case with Carlo, and not so much with Ben, because I didn't hear most of the things he said, but, um, definitely a big part of Carlo.
06:29Do you agree with that?
06:32Guilty as charged.
06:33So, so you don't feel any remorse for everything you've done?
06:36No, look, I feel remorse and, uh, my intention wasn't to hurt people and the people, I mean, we, we've bumped into each other, we will talk, Chrissie, I was at peace, if anything, positive's come out of what Belinda did and Belinda going, and I said on the, of the show the other night that, uh, if Belinda was going to go and she'd come to us and said, I would have been the first to say, no, that's not what I wanted.
06:55You had mutual respect for the 14 in there and I coped the way I did, I wanted to stir it up, I stirred it up.
07:00Unfortunately, the emotions in there, and if you have, and what I say is that if Belinda had issues prior to coming in, it's exacerbated by me causing more issues with Belinda, and if she may not have had those issues, the issues I caused may not have gone the extent they went.
07:14You driveled a lot of shit, my friend.
07:22I just, I just can't understand why, because to me, you talk about strategy, you talk about stirring it up.
07:29To me, and maybe I'm wrong, but I see Big Brother, it's not like Survivor, it's not a, it's not a competition.
07:34Yes, there is a winner at the end, a winner, but it's meant to be more of a sociological experiment, putting this human zoo, these people see how they interact, uh, and things like that.
07:43And we, the viewers at home, are the ones who choose who's going to leave, just to, again, make the environment a little more different.
07:49All this strategising and things like that, do you think you were going into the wrong show?
07:53Well, no, I didn't have much choice, uh, there wasn't too many other shows around, and I picked that one, and when you get advertised as a robust detective, I think the perception's out there already, and for me, it is a learning experience, and I did look at people as having the bad traits before the good traits, and I seem to be able to turn that around, and now I expect people to do that to me, and look at my good traits rather than all my bad ones.
08:15So, it's been quite a learning experience.
08:18But to me, I had this same argument with Carlo, is that it doesn't matter if you saved a drowning kitten from the pool, the fact is, and they didn't show it, the fact is, you've still done these other things, which are quite important, I think, in the situations.
08:33That's very naive, to say something like that.
08:35No, it's not, not at all.
08:36So, you don't look at all the facts?
08:39No, even your mind, you don't look at all the facts and sort of look at what leads up to something, you just look at the fact that...
08:43So, your major criticism was that people were two-faced in the house, now you're saying you went in with the intention to stir things up, so you haven't gone in being yourself, you're gone in saying, well, I'm going to try to cause a bit of friction, so you yourself are being a hypocrite by going in being two-faced.
08:59Did you agree?
09:00Yeah, did you agree?
09:02And I was saying that I went in there to do exactly what I did, and I went in there to have a little bit of fun, and fun's had in different ways, and I picked the girls because they're the only ones that had the balls to...
09:13to have a go back, the balls are very insipid, the ones that I think are in there, and I really give them credit for actually biting back and taking me on, and I had some fun, you had a friendship before it, I made up with Chrissie, I made up with everyone, Belinda and I have a chat, and her dog's gone missing in the last couple of days, I'll give it back if she's good.
09:30Did you have fun?
09:32I did have fun, I did have a ball.
09:34And Ben, oh sorry.
09:35No, no, you...
09:36Ben, I was going to say, to round things off, will you please, just no matter what you've said off-camera or anything like that, please now just, on behalf of everyone, redeem yourself and just apologise to Belinda, if you would please.
09:47I'm very sorry.
09:49I didn't mean to hurt you, I meant to have a little bit of fun, okay?
09:52Okay.
09:53Okay.
09:53Thank you very much, Ben, thank you.
09:56Thank you, best of luck on the outside.
