00:00You've mentioned a few times just how these last five, six, seven or eight years since
00:10Jürgen Klopp came in, how lucky Liverpool fans have been to witness these and how thankful
00:17they should be for a number of players to go and get that Champions League win, the
00:22Premier League win which was availing them for so many years. Just looking at forward
00:26lines in particular, Mane, Salah, Firmino, quite historic really for them in that sort
00:32of era, obviously Sturridge and Suarez before them, who have been the most standout throughout
00:39their history, their recent history as well that Liverpool fans really love and will always
00:44have a soft spot for at the club?
00:47I think it would be that three, that Salah, Firmino and Mane because they got Liverpool
00:51all over the line. They won Liverpool, the Champions League and then the Premier League.
00:58Suarez is still fondly remembered for his quality but he didn't win a Premier League
01:03at Liverpool, he fell short. That one with Sturridge and Sterling was excellent but it
01:08broke apart very quickly whereas the one of Mane, Salah and Firmino was there for a few
01:14years and you have to say a lot of people would agree they were the best in Europe.
01:20I think what let them down was the lack of depth behind them. You had players like Zed
01:25and Shaqiri, you had Divock Origi who scored a lot of important goals for Liverpool to
01:29be fair. You had Takumi Minamino who came in for a little bit but there wasn't real
01:34out-and-out depth and that's the difference now with Liverpool. Maybe it's not as strong.
01:41Roberto Firmino was a player who was so underrated, he was loved by his teammates. Sassio Mane
01:47was one of the best forwards in the world. Is Luis Diaz as good as Sassio Mane? Probably
01:53not yet. Is Dabo Nunez or Diogo Jota as good as Roberto Firmino? No, you'd have to say
01:59but there's more depth and more options for Liverpool. I think that has definitely helped
02:07Mo Salah in recent years. I think if Mo Salah had been playing with two more and that's
02:12it then maybe it would have been a bit more difficult but the burden has been taken off
02:16him a little bit in recent campaigns, albeit his numbers in front of goal have not slowed
02:23down whatsoever. So going forwards, you've still got Kiyos to come in. There's a lot
02:31of talk about what's going to happen with Salah. Things change, new players come in
02:37of course and that's going to happen eventually. But that front three of Mane, Salah, Firmino
02:45I think do just like red arrows. They won Liverpool everything they could have won and
02:51they return Liverpool to the top of European football and I think that's why they'll always
02:56be held in the Davis of affection.
