00:20When he asked me to marry him at 16,

00:22I honestly believe that that's what God wanted.

00:30The more wives, the more children you have, the higher in heaven you'll be.

01:00Warren Jeffs took over this religion and turned it into money and power.

01:36After Rulon died, Warren wanted me to marry him like the other ladies had.

01:49Evil powers gain control over us when we are having fun, when we relax our prayers.

01:57We were taught to always be covered from our neck to our ankles

02:03and to have our hair combed up, not hanging.

02:06And we don't cut our hair.

02:08We have computers, but they're not, we don't have any internet.

02:13No TVs, you couldn't travel, you couldn't be educated.

02:17And he'd always bring in some sort of revelation of why you couldn't do it.

02:28One day, my name was brought up and I was to be married.

02:32I was 14.

02:58They asked me to leave because I had a girlfriend.

03:01When you get kicked out, they don't follow you.

03:04What you lived for 50 years is completely ripped apart.

03:27I wanted at least two years to grow up.

03:46And then when I later found out who I was to be married to, who was my cousin,

03:52that really upset me.

03:57The criminal charges allege that Mr. Jeffs encouraged, commanded, aided, abetted another to have sexual intercourse

04:18with a victim between the ages of 14 and 18 without her consent.

05:11a bed investigators say may have been used to consummate marriages between adult men and underage girls.
