Donald Trump granted a presidential pardon to two turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving. Waddle and Gobble, were officially pardoned by Donald Trump on Tuesday ahead of Thanksgiving. The two turkeys were brought to Washington and hosted at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, where they were treated like VIPs before receiving the presidential pardon. The animal rights organization PETA noted that turkeys are so heavily fattened for Thanksgiving that 10% of those raised in factory farms die before even reaching the slaughterhouse.
