00:00A case of MPACS has been reported in Moro Region, but according to the health department, the public should not be concerned.

00:14Department of Health Secretary Ted Herbosa assured that the public should not be concerned

00:20regarding a reported case of MPACS in Moro Region and the four new cases in Calabarzon.

00:27According to Secretary Herbosa, the suspected case has already been investigated by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine or RITM

00:35from Malabang, Lanao del Sur and they are just waiting for the results.

00:40But there's no alarm bells. The contagiousness of MPACS is the same.

00:47The one that we have is a still clade 2, the one that we're identifying.

00:51The secretaries also said that they have already been approved for a medicine and they're just giving it to those who have a serious condition.

00:59What is good though is we have approved the CPR for that medicine.

01:05Covirimat is now approved by our FDA so it can be given for severe cases.

01:09According to Secretary Herbosa, Metro Manila and Calabarzon are the only remaining hotspots in MPACS.
