00:00
Good morning, well we've seen a significant change in our weather over
00:04
the past 24 hours as storm Burt has crossed over the UK. Storm Burt is now
00:09
out towards the northwest but bringing in still some very strong and gusty
00:13
winds. We also have a band of rain across the southwestern parts of England into
00:18
South Wales and the Midlands so this is actually going to linger through much of
00:21
the day to give a damp day here. Towards the north of that though across
00:25
northern England and southern parts of Scotland a much drier picture can
00:29
be compared to Saturday, perhaps even with some hazy spells of sunshine. But across
00:35
Northern Ireland and Scotland closest to the area of low pressure here we'll see
00:39
frequent blustery showers moving through and the strongest winds so gusts of
00:44
possibly 70 to 75 miles per hour that could lead to some travel disruption and
00:49
some large waves along the coast. But here it will be quite chilly in that
00:55
strong winds, highs of 10 or 11 degrees but further south drawing up milder air
01:00
from the southerly winds, highs of up to 15 or 16 degrees so a very mild picture
01:07
through Sunday. And as we go through Sunday evening this band of rain will
01:12
eventually start slowly clearing its way eastwards into East Anglia, the parts of
01:16
London and the southeast. Behind that clearer spells developing but also some
01:21
frequent blustery showers across Wales and towards the southwest. But the most
01:26
frequent showers once again will be across Northern Ireland and parts of
01:31
northwestern Scotland too, still holding on to some very strong and gusty winds.
01:36
But for all of us as we start Monday morning it will be a cooler start out
01:41
there with lows now around 7 or 8 degrees. But it will be a damp start
01:47
across the southeast with this band of rain slowly clearing away. Once that
01:52
clears a brighter picture developing across much of England and Wales but we
01:56
will still hold on to some blustery showers once again across southern parts
02:00
of England and Wales. These could turn quite heavy at times. The most frequent
02:05
showers though once again will be across northern parts of Scotland and Northern
02:10
Ireland and we hold on to a more north and northwesterly wind. So actually some
02:15
of these showers could turn a little bit wintry over the highest ground. As for
02:20
temperatures though we'll see a drop in temperatures as we go through Monday so
02:24
actually closer to the average for the time of year. Highs of up to 8 degrees
02:28
across Scotland and Northern Ireland but around 11 or 12 further towards the
02:34
south. Now as we go through Tuesday the winds will ease but further towards the
02:40
south we could see another area of low pressure that could bring some heavy
02:44
spells of rain. But for all of the latest make sure to hit subscribe on YouTube so
02:48
you don't miss any updates and I'll see you soon. Bye bye.
