Meta warns Australians' data at risk in social media ban

World-first legislation has been introduced to federal parliament to ban under-16s from social media. But Facebook and Instagram owner Meta has warned it will have to collect personal data from all Australians as part of the proposed age limit that's drawn the ire of internet privacy advocates.
