00:00The role of the university is to be always able to build bridges, bridges between cultures,
00:09bridges between people belonging to different states, bridges between skills that together
00:13must compete for the solution of complex problems. The biggest challenges, in my opinion, are
00:17related to the fact that they must understand precisely that the really useful tools
00:23for problem solving are no longer within the individual disciplines, but are
00:27more and more branched and dispersed, they are at the borders, and therefore the contamination
00:32between different cognitive maps can allow to obtain the tools really
00:36necessary for problem solving. The University of Torvergata is in the position in which it is able to
00:40provide, let's say, projects, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary courses that allow,
00:46through the courses, to obtain skills that are actually at the forefront
00:52compared to those that are the problems to be solved, in addition to a training offer
00:55and a degree course that aim to anticipate what will be the future.
