00:10I mean to hear this from friends that I've loved and admired for so many years

00:17It just means so much to me. I mean now and then was

00:21More than just a film to me. It was an adventure. It was a sweet story about friendship

00:28Resilience and navigating the you know, the ups and downs of life together and here we are

00:3630 years later

00:38Still standing side-by-side. I love you guys and I thank you and you know

00:43Look, we've shared so much of our past and there's still more to come and with that thought

00:49I mean there must be someone out here who's thinking shouldn't we do a remake or do a sequel of now and then like now

01:00Okay moving on to this so thank you to the always smart always forward-thinking Nina Garcia and

01:09recognizing not only me but all of the

01:13Incredible women being honored here tonight. I mean these are women

01:18Literally who are reshaping Hollywood who keep showing up pushing the boundaries?

01:23Challenging the the norms I mean and

01:26Reimagining what's possible at every stage of life and holy I get to be part of that

01:34Seriously, thank you

01:37look like so many women I've

01:41I've had my share of obstacles from the highs and lows of the industry to my own personal struggles

01:48But as the ladies have mentioned I won't go into any detail because it's in my memoir inside out so I'll spare you that

01:56but just suffice it to say that I've I've learned that every challenge every moment of self-doubt is an

02:03Opportunity that's led me to discover my own value my strength and resilience and I am grateful for every moment

02:11especially the hard ones because they have given me the chance to grow and

02:15Redefine myself and continue to move forward

02:19working on the substance kind of brought that front and center and I'm so grateful to have had the chance to

02:26To really dive deep into a role that pushed and stretched and literally ripped me apart

02:34but most importantly it reminded me why I love what I do and

02:40So finally to all the women in this room those honored tonight and those

02:46Who keep the gears of this industry turning? I am both challenged and inspired by you every day. I

02:55Mean we're all here because someone opened a door for us

02:58And I believe it's our duty to open that door to the to but actually open that door wider

03:04For the next generation of women in Hollywood our stories matter our voices matter

03:09Our work has an impact that goes beyond the screen and we can change not only our industry

03:15But also how the world sees women

03:18Just by how we see ourselves and by how we hold each other

03:22I just want to say thank you again to L to my beautiful friends old and new

03:27My beautiful family my team and to all of you for reminding me tonight that all all the twists and turns of this journey

03:34Are worth every step. Thank you
