00:03Shocking doorbell camera footage has revealed the moment a family's cockapoo pet was dog-napped from a Derbyshire driveway in broad daylight.

00:11Three-year-old Alan was brazenly taken by a callous crook on Harlow Way in Ashbourne last Tuesday morning.

00:18Video footage captures a hooded man in dark clothing walking onto the driveway before leading the pooch away from the property at around 11am.

00:26Holly Bryan, who is the cousin of Alan's owner Stuart Godfrey, was at the house at the time and has launched a campaign to track Alan down.

00:34She explained how the pet had been tied to a post on an extendable lead on the driveway because work was being done on Stuart's garden.

00:41She said,

00:57Derbyshire Police confirmed that they have launched an investigation but said that no arrests have yet been made.

01:08or alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and pass on information anonymously.

01:16The organisers of an annual Boxing Day rafting event have confirmed plans for its comeback next month

01:21and are crossing their fingers for better weather conditions after the 2023 edition was capsized.

01:31drawing families across Derbyshire for a walk along the banks of the Derwent as crews steer makeshift craft through the choppy waters.

01:38Dangerously high river levels forced a late cancellation last Christmas Eve,

01:42but organisers of the Derbyshire Association of Sub-Aqua Clubs are preparing to dip their oars in the water once again.

01:48Over the years, the event has raised more than £250,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution,

01:55helping to pay for two boats patrolling Britain's coastline.
