I thought a very good film for the time period. It shows that not so much animosity was shown towards the Southern experience as it is now. it did try to justify itself towards the end when Janot Gaynor saw what the future could bring. There should have been a scene showing the sharecroppers collecting their salary. Well acted. Introduction of Shirley Temple.
