South West locals make the UK rich list for 2024

00:06southwest. The Sunday Times revealed their 350 richest individuals and

00:13families in the UK. The list featured 350 families whose combined wealth was

00:18around 765.361 billion pounds, a sum larger than the annual GPD of Poland.

00:29The 66-page document revealed a decrease in their billionaire count from 177 in 2022

00:36to 165 this year, which is the largest fall in billionaires in the Guide's 36-year history.

00:43But many of these are local Bristolians and from the southwest, including Sir James Dyson and

00:49family, who recently launched a new electric mop. His family remained the richest in the southwest

00:56with a fortune of £20.8 billion.
