00:00Victoria Kitt Tilvig of Denmark won the 73rd Miss Universe title, defeating 124 contestants in Mexico.

00:08This is Denmark's first Miss Universe win, following Aino Korva's first runner-up finish in 1963.

00:15She received the crown from outgoing Miss Universe, Seynaz Palacios Cornejo of Nicaragua.

00:20Chidima Adichina of Nigeria was first runner-up, with Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico.

00:26Opal Shichata Chuang Sri of Thailand and Ileana Marquez of Venezuela taking the 2nd, 3rd and 4th runner-up spots respectively.

00:35In the meantime, Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo made it to the top 30.

00:40She may have fallen short of becoming the Philippines' 5th Miss Universe,

00:43but she has carved her place in the country's history as the first ever Miss Universe Asia.
