00:00Venezuela, the great congress of the historic Bolivarian bloc, moves forward, where more

00:04than 6,000 delegates discuss their proposals on the country's productive sector.

00:09Venezuelan Vice President, Telsoy Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of national congress

00:14in order to strengthen and make the productive sectors of Venezuela more independent.

00:18According to Rodríguez, Venezuela is called to become an economic power, but not before

00:23taking the political vanguard stated by Commander Hugo Chávez.

00:27The Vice President denounced that extremist groups are requesting sanctions to torture

00:32the Venezuelan people and stop the country's progress.

00:35In this regard, the Vice President urged the working class to remain vigilant.

00:45Because the extremists in the service of the global north seek, by all means, to torture

00:50Venezuela for its surrender.

00:53And that is why this congress must become a real steel wall for the defense of our homeland,

00:59and for the defense of our wealth, the identity of our historical process, and for the defense

01:03of our sovereignty.

01:18We continue here in Caracas in the third day of the grand congress of the Bolivarian historical

01:24bloc.

01:25As we have been saying for the past days, this is the event in which delegates from

01:31all over the country, from all over the Venezuelan generations have come together with the proposals

01:36that they have discussed in their territories to come meet and debate on the seven key issues

01:44that will mark Venezuela to come in the coming years, in the coming government mandate, but

01:49also in the next 30 years.

01:51The idea is to make up a long-term plan for the Venezuelan development and for the deepening

01:58of the Bolivarian revolutionary process.

02:02So we are here on this third day, and we have been saying how this third day has been marked

02:07by a specific request to really reflect on the concept of the historical bloc, of the

02:15Bolivarian historical bloc, that is, this moment, how is it marked by the economical

02:21structure and the political and civilian forces that make up this present moment, and how

02:28all the militant efforts need to be focused on first understanding the needs of the territories,

02:36the needs of the communities, what the people from the bases are saying, and let the roadmap

02:42for the future really reflect those bases.

02:45That is the goal of this participatory process that is this Congress, but also that this

02:51needs to be guided by a deep understanding of the present time, of this historical bloc,

03:00what challenges lie and what possibilities can arise.

03:05So the discussion has been focused on that specific point, and all the different tables

03:11have been issuing their own ideas and proposals of how they seem.

03:16For example, we've heard discussions regarding how to have a feminist perspective on the

03:24modernization and the development in terms of the economy, the Venezuelan economy in

03:30this moment.

03:31We've also seen particular statements from the delegates at each table regarding the

03:37importance that there's no way to really understand the Bolivarian historical bloc

03:43without understanding the geopolitics at the moment and at play.

03:48So there's a very deep political reflection also that expands from the national borders

03:55of Venezuela and really needs to understand what is happening in the region, what is happening

04:00in the world, and how does this process, the Bolivarian process, that is also really

04:06acknowledged by its own people like a unique process, avant-garde process in the world.

04:13So the reflection regarding the international situation also is taking a key role to understand

04:23where this process is laid on and what are the challenges and the years to come.

04:29So this day is finishing with a screenplay, with a film that is being shown from musician

04:37Ali Primera and the delegates will continue to enjoy from a political perspective, from

04:42an artistic perspective, everything that has to do with the Bolivarian process at this

04:47moment and specifically the challenge to face the years to come with a concrete program

04:54that comes from the bases and that is the mandate from the Executive, from President

05:00Nicolás Maduro.

05:01So that is everything from this third day at this Congress in Caracas.

05:13During the third day of the National Congress of the Bolivarian Historical Bloc, United

05:16Socialist Party of Venezuela's youth militant, María Petancur, affirmed the importance of

05:22the younger generations in Venezuela's revolutionary process.

05:28The role of youth, first, is to break the historical cycle of betrayal.

05:33It is the first.

05:34We are in the bicentennial of the cycle of betrayal.

05:38That is the first element.

05:40The second element is to transform the society we live in today.

05:45Society brands us by labels, which divides us and makes us believe that we are one above

05:49the other.

05:51And we are not one above the other.

05:53Here, if we divide ourselves, there will be no popular victory in the struggle.

05:58Based on that, that is our role.

06:01But also to transform the reality of our youth.

06:04Today our youth has been one of the hardest hit.

06:06Our generation is one of the hardest hit by the sanctions, by the blockade, by all the

06:11fascism that we are experiencing.

06:14It is up to us to generate guarantees of life for all that generation.

06:18And based on that, President Nicolás Maduro has called for the creation of the Great Mission

06:23of Young Venezuela.

06:29Young militant María Betancur explained the key elements and objectives of the Great Mission

06:33Young Venezuela.

06:36It is a national vision with seven vertices, 26 programs, to guarantee a better life for

06:41the Venezuelan youth.

06:43Among that, while housing, we are working on the whole issue of education, we are working

06:48on the whole issue of the organization of the popular youth power.

06:52We are also working on technology and science.

06:56We are working on ecology.

06:58We are creating a youth zone so that there is a real space where the youth can go when

07:02they want to be attended.

07:04That is what we are doing, working for the welfare of our youth.

07:08And I think that is the most beautiful thing.

07:11Helping those who need it without hesitation is part of our happiness, and not part of

07:15our duty.

07:18Betancur extended the invitation for all the Venezuelan people abroad to work together

07:22to build the nation they want.

07:27We invite all the youth, all the Venezuelan people without any doubt, and all the world

07:31that sees us to be part of this beautiful story that is the Bolivarian Revolution, and

07:36that we build together the Venezuela we want.

07:43The Venezuela we want is not hate, it is not violence.

07:47We are not telling them to think the same as us, but to come and build, to come and

07:52add, to be engineers, to be professionals, so that we can build together the country

07:56we want.
