00:00It's the second day of the Congress of Bolivarian Historical Bloc in Venezuela and our correspondent
00:22Belén de los Santos is there with all the details we must know about the event.
00:26Hi Bel, what can you share with us at this hour?
00:29Thank you Ale, exactly this is the last hours of the second day of this Grand Congress of
00:40the Bolivarian Bloc and as we have been saying throughout the day, the discussions, the debates
00:45have been going on.
00:46We are now at the closing hours of this day and as we were saying, there have been different
00:52assemblies underway.
00:53This has been a complete day dedicated to debate, to discussion.
00:59All the different delegates from across the country have been divided into the seven assemblies
01:05that correspond with the seven Ts or the seven transformations and in those assemblies, the
01:13delegates have been giving their opinions about what their proposals are from the territories.
01:19Let's recall that they are bringing their proposals from the territories.
01:23Many delegations have of course been participating in the seven different debates with different
01:29delegates whose role has been to bring to the table these proposals.
01:34So they have been taking the stand one by one, sharing proposals.
01:38Some of them have been exchanging back and forth with a time limit to address all these
01:44different issues and what I wanted to bring to you in this report at the end of the day
01:49was just some of the things that have been discussing and going over in this debate.
01:57For example, let's take, for instance, the first transformation, the assembly dedicated
02:03to the economic modernization and everything related to the economy.
02:09A lot has been going on there.
02:11For example, just to have some ideas of what was discussed there.
02:21One of the things was the need to increase worker participation in the oil industry.
02:27We know how vital the oil industry is for the Venezuelan economy, particularly at this
02:35moment and that is one of the things that worker participation was one of the things
02:41that in the assembly was carried out as something to achieve in the coming years.
02:48Then one of the other things was the need to decrease technological dependency in the
02:53current scenario and all the things that that increases in Venezuela and a path to real
03:00sovereignty also in that sector.
03:03Also another important idea, just to keep in mind how important it is for all the sectors
03:10to be coming together, is how one of the things that was mentioned was the need for just an
03:17economic model to meet the need of every economic sector that has different needs,
03:25different conditions, and that was very important and interesting to hear because, of course,
03:30the idea of building, for example, an economic transformation, hearing from all the sectors
03:41instead of designing a plan.
03:45So in that sense, let's keep in mind how different of a model this is.
03:51If we compare it to, for example, I would say that it would change the economic transformation
03:57only on the basis of its first productive central industry model.
04:02As I said, in contrast to that, we had workers from all different sectors of the country
04:08really bringing their voice and asking for specific strategies and talking about their
04:15own needs.
04:16Producers in the food industry also were talking about also issues and that was one of the
04:25things they were talking about, the need for different financing instruments, for example.
04:31That was just one of the things that were debated as only one of the assemblies that
04:36was given a call.
04:37Just to give you a little bit of a glimpse of what was happening today, the debate is
04:45finishing just for today but will continue tomorrow and let's recall that all of this
04:51will end with all of the assemblies presenting their conclusions, their proposals to the
04:57executive.
04:58The idea is that in that way Venezuela will draw its roadmap for the coming years, looking
05:06not only at the coming mandate but also at the next 30 years.
05:11So that is what is happening here today.
05:13The day is coming to a close.
05:15The Vice President and also Minister Correa will close this panel dedicated to the economy
05:22that is the biggest.
05:23We have just finished talking and people are now gathering for a special closure panel
05:29with Minister Julián Gideon and Osvaldo Carrello.
05:32So that is what we are waiting.
05:34Now I go back to you and we will continue to bring all the information at this panel.
05:42Thank you, Bel, for all the information and also for sharing with us these last minutes
05:46of the second day which is also marked with music and enjoyment.
05:51We were listening to Belén de los Santos amid the congress of the Historic Bolivarian
05:55Bloc.
