00:00Rome opens the doors to the first iconic flagship Starbucks store in Italy, inspired by the new concept Where Coffee Meets Art.
00:11Opened in collaboration with Percassi, a licensed exclusive brand in Italy, the store is located in Piazza San Silvestro.
00:18It is a fundamental opening, we are talking about the first flagship in Europe, and we have obviously chosen Rome as the absolute priority square.
00:27It is the seventh store that we open in Rome, we have almost 200 employees in the city of Rome.
00:33For us, Rome is a strategic city, both as a Percassi group and at the level of Starbucks Mondo,
00:39which obviously considers Rome one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but which actually has an incredible potential,
00:46also in anticipation of 2025 with the advent of the Jubilee.
00:51The flagship store extends on two floors, for a total surface of almost 800 square meters, with a capacity of 140 seats.
00:59It offers bookings, artistic sessions and spaces designed for connection, with the aim of offering a new space for the local community in Rome.
01:08There has also been a work of respect for the cultural identity of our city.
01:15It won't just be a coffee shop, a big coffee shop, but it will also be a space where local associations, cultural associations,
01:24the involvement of fashion academies such as OIED will be able to participate.
01:27In short, there are many ingredients that give an idea of how a large global company has entered Rome on its feet,
01:35also respecting what is our value.
01:39The investments of Starbucks have certainly contributed to revitalizing the square, also creating new job opportunities for 50 partners.
01:47It is a very important location for us, on which we are really aiming, with the refurbishment of the entire Piazza San Silvestro,
01:54of the entire Limitrove area, with the refurbishment of the buildings.
01:59So obviously the very high-quality presence of this flagship store is very important to us.
02:06Starbucks is an important international brand, the vocation of the center of Rome is an international vocation,
02:13so I think today's appointment is really important.
02:17Inside, visitors are welcomed by an imposing mural by the local artist Luca Maleonte,
02:22inspired by coffee, Roman culture and mythology, and flanked by semi-permanent installations that enrich the interiors.
02:30We are sure that we will achieve the objectives we have set for ourselves,
02:35in terms of collecting waste and in terms of the environment.
02:41The new flagship store in San Silvestro is therefore proposed as the place where the spirit of the eternal city meets the art of coffee,
02:48enriching and expanding the experience and offer of coffee in the city.
