00:08film his latest movie California Scheman which is set in various locations across the city and
00:13Dundee. The film which also marks his directorial debut will chart the true story of a Scottish rap
00:19duo who conned the international music industry by adopting American accents and pretending to be
00:25established Californian musicians to be taken seriously and secure a record deal. Filming is
00:31currently underway in Glasgow between the 6th and 20th of November and audiences will be able to
00:36recognize a number of Glasgow locations. The Badlands area has been used with a mural of Ewan
00:40McGregor's train spotting character Mark Renton designed by renowned graffiti artist Rogue One
00:46put up as a backdrop on Charlottestream. Other filming locations include Maryhill, Park Circus
00:51and Glasgow Green. James McAvoy has said the movie is rooted in the Californian rap scene
00:56but the story starts in the working class Scottish setting.
