Hebburn Helps receives a community award from Sunderland AFC

Hebburn Helps has received a community award and donation from Utilita and Sunderland AFC.

00:00I had received a phone call from David at Sunderland Football Club a couple of months ago,

00:06and we are going to be in receipt, I think it's some kind of community award that they've got

00:10going on, with a cheque for £500, so every little really, really does help.

00:16I see you just mentioned that obviously every little helps,

00:18so talk us through what that money will go towards.

00:20I mean at this stage it's going to be going for food and it's going to be going for toys

00:24for Christmas, so we're right up against it at the moment, in excess of about £10,000 toys,

00:29across South Tyneside, that we're about to dish out, as well as Hampas to go with it,

00:34so anything is going to be brilliant to go in the pot.

00:37Obviously you mentioned we are on the run up to Christmas now,

00:39how important is the time of year for you guys?

00:42I mean it's so important to be able to do the work that we do, do in South Tyneside,

00:46but to receive help along the way as well, absolutely amazing,

00:49and we get to meet Daniel, who is one of the local superstars, so yeah, happy days.
