00:18executive will not participate because he will prioritize some domestic concerns, including

00:28Instead, Department of Trade and Industry, or DTI, Acting Secretary Maria Cristina Roque,
00:35who was recently appointed a special envoy to the APEC Economic Leaders Week, will represent
00:41the Philippines.
00:43The meeting will be attended by leaders, ministers, and senior officials from the 21 APEC who
00:49will work to shape trade and globalization policies.
00:53APEC aims to provide a strategic vision and directives for regional cooperation in the
