00:25The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, or LTFRB, issued more than 200 special permits to public utility bus operators.
00:35According to LTFRB Chairman Atty. Tshufilo Guadiz III, it is possible to add more special permits in the coming days.
00:43Provincial buses that were given permits are from Metro Manila and other provinces in Luzon.
00:49Atty. Guadiz also explained that special permits are needed so that buses can legally travel to places that do not have regular routes
00:57and so that passengers can still receive passenger insurance in case of an accident.
01:03The LTFRB issued special permits since October 15, and it is expected that these will increase as November 1 approaches.
01:11The special permit is valid until November 10.
01:14Meanwhile, in case the buses are not enough on November 1, the LTFRB will take care of the people
01:20so that a special permit for bus augmentation can be issued immediately.
