Will Lamar Jackson Play in Week 9 Against the Broncos?

Lamar Jackson was not at practice Thursday or Wednesday, what does that mean for bettors looking for an edge in Week 9?

00:03Let's go to the Broncos-Ravens game in Baltimore.

00:06Now, yesterday on the show, Femi, I don't know if we were talking about this on-air or off-air.

00:10Lamar Jackson doesn't practice yesterday for the Ravens.

00:12And then maybe it was off-air, and he said to me during a break,

00:14you see, Lamar didn't practice, like, what's up with that?

00:16And I said, well, John Harbaugh, Ravens head coach, called it a veteran rest day for Lamar.

00:21Like, nothing to do in here, nothing to worry about.

00:23Well, Lamar mispracticed again today, on Thursday, with what's called back and shoulder injuries.

00:29Now, he could practice tomorrow, he could play in the game on Sunday, he could be at 100%.

00:33Like, no one knows.

00:35But it is a little weird, right, that the Ravens' starting quarterback didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday.

00:41So what's happening in the market right now, Femi, with Bo Nix and the Broncos visiting the Ravens?

00:46Yeah, it feels like we've done this so much with Lamar Jackson that when the news came out yesterday,

00:50nothing happened in the market.

00:52Everyone just stood pat and were like, all right, like, we've seen Lamar miss a Wednesday practice,

00:56he was sick, like, the annual Lamar Jackson illness day.

00:59Like, it felt like that's what it was.

01:01But now that it's happened again, and now it's, like, sort of, like, subscribed to being a back and, like, a knee injury or whatever it is,

01:07like, at this point, you're seeing money on the Denver Broncos.

01:10Like, this is now no longer nine and a half, it's sitting at eight across the board.

01:14There's one nine out there, but it's more of a rogue number.

01:16Eight is the consensus number.

01:18I'm guessing that with Lamar's back on the field tomorrow at practice, maybe you get a little bit more Ravens money.

01:24But also, he's clearly going to be compromising the game.

01:26Like, I don't think you're just missing Wednesday and Thursday for rest.

01:29Like, Jared Goff missed yesterday, he practiced today because they were resting his ankle.

01:33That's typically how it goes if they're resting you.

01:35Something's up with Lamar, for sure, yes.

01:37Yeah, and, like, it's important to note, he didn't leave the game Sunday.

01:40Like, he didn't leave the game or anything like that when they lost to the Cleveland Browns.

01:43So this is something he obviously clearly played through.

01:45But something is not right with Lamar Jackson, and the betting market is betting it as such.

01:49Denver now much more likely to win if Jackson's going to be compromised, even if he is out on the field on Sunday.
