00:08manager. Amarim is a former Benfica player and started a senior management career at

00:12Braga in Portugal. Over his three months in charge, he lost only two games, both in the

00:16Round of 16 in Europe against Rangers. The team's remarkable turnaround turned Amarim

00:20into hot property and by March, Sporting Lisbon had paid €10 million to bring him to their

00:25club. In the first of his season at Sporting, he won the league, won the cup and boasted

00:30stars such as Jean Paulinho, Mateus Nunez and Jean Mario. It took a few years for that

00:34success to be replicated, but they won the league again last season, thanks in part to

00:37a revamped squad that had Viktor Jokares, Marcus Edwards and Morten Schulmann. Amarim

00:43has a clearly defined identity as a manager, operating with a 3-4-3 formation that relies

00:47on wing-backs pushing aggressively high up the pitch, with good pressing defining their

00:51style without the ball. Energetic players such as Kobi Maenu should benefit from that,

00:55while the quick attacking style should suit Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hoylund.
