00:00In the United States, several ballot boxes with hundreds of early voting ballots were

00:05burned in two states just days before the presidential election on November 5th.

00:10Police in the states of Oregon and Washington reported that they are investigating the burning

00:15of several ballot boxes as the early voting process in the country continues.

00:20Authorities detailed that the fires in both states were found to have been set by an incendiary

00:26device and explained that they recovered enough material from the devices to prove

00:31that the two incidents are related to each other.

00:35It is important to note that the ballot boxes were equipped with working fire suppression

00:41systems at the polling place in the city of Portland.

00:44However, for unknown reasons, they were not activated to prevent the ballot's destruction

00:50at the Vancouver polling station.
