00:00Pera Paz has accused DAP of inciting racial tensions following a recent controversy over
00:07a parade in Telointan, Pera, where participants were seen waving China's flag.
00:13The party's state commissioner, Razman Zakaria, claimed that DAP is using the issue to polarize
00:17the country, alleging that the party has a history of plain racial politics.
00:22While Paz's initial concern centered on the display of foreign flags as a matter of
00:26national sovereignty, he said DAP reframed the incident into a racial flashpoint for
00:31political gain within the Chinese community.
00:34In a Facebook post, he said Pera Paz urges the Malays not to be drawn into the trap of
00:39narrow racial sentiments and violent politics incited by DAP.
00:43Razman said Pera Paz remained committed to peaceful and constitutional paths, rejecting
00:48all forms of violence and divisive racial politics.
00:52Meanwhile, MCA Vice President Tan Teh Cheng has questioned why criticism was centered
00:57on the waving of China's flag alone, when the flags of other nations were also hoisted.
01:02Tan accused certain politicians of exploiting the incident and using any means necessary
01:07to gain cheap political capital, putting friendly relations between China and Malaysia at risk.
