Georgia's President Salome Zurabishvili casts her ballot as the country goes to the polls for an election that could determine the fledgling democracy's European aspirations, with concerns growing over the current ruling party's pro-Russian drift.

00:00This day is a very important day for all of Georgia.

00:24I am confident that this day will be determining Georgia's future.

00:30The future for which I personally came back to this country 22 years ago.

00:36The future for which my emigre parents were praying all their life.

00:42And the future for which the whole of Georgia is praying because tonight there will be a

00:48victory and that victory will be that of Georgia, of all of Georgia.

00:54There will be people that will be victorious but nobody will lose tonight.
