00:00And looking at Everton's takeover, what sort of letters you can issue us on that?

00:05Obviously, you know, it's chopped and changed a lot over the last year or so.

00:10What's the latest you can tell us?

00:12Yeah, I think that you are hopefully on the back straight now of the Freedom Group's takeover.

00:20A lot of false dawns with MSP Capital buying a minority stake in 777 and obviously Freedom

00:28Group coming back and John Tex throwing his hat into the ring.

00:32But look, the Freedom Group are a legitimate business.

00:36Dan Freak, the Texan billionaire, I think he's worth about seven and a half billion pounds.

00:43He's got the funds.

00:45Everton are worried about him not passing any, you know, owners and directors tests

00:53because the Freedom Group already own AS Roma.

00:57They own an established European club and Everton are getting a real legitimate businessman

01:05who's going to be going to be in charge.

01:08So the investment vehicle has been registered on companies house called things called Roundhouse

01:14Capital Partners Limiters and two members or two employees of the Freedom Group,

01:20two long standing employees are registered as directors and the address is registered to

01:28the London office of the Freakin Group and Dan Freakin, who's head of the company,

01:34is a person of interest on those files.

01:36So it's all stacking up for Everton.

01:38They've just got to pass the, you know, the owners and directors tests, you know,

01:42the FA and the Premier League.

01:44But I think Everton fans are hoping that towards the end of the year it will be done.

01:50Will there be funds in January then?

01:53Short and tight isn't sure, but it'll certainly give Everton that boost that they need for the

01:58second half of the season.

01:59And the first thing that they'll want is stability and improving financial situation in the club.

02:04But in the long term, the aim that supporters will want is Everton returning to the upper

02:10echelons of the Premier League because they have been in the mire for a few seasons.

02:18It's well documented, isn't it?

02:19But stability is what ultimately supporters yearn for.

02:23And hopefully, once it's all ratified, the Freakin Group can bring that.
