Everton’s situation with PSR rules this summer window

00:00Will, on to Everton. Obviously, with a massive window ahead and they're coming off the back

00:06of a season involving points deductions, etc. What's the latest on the PSR and the profit

00:14and sustainability rules, of course, that you can tell us and Everton fans might need

00:19to understand going into this new campaign?

00:23Well, as we speak, it's July the 1st, so the new financial year begins, and you would like

00:30to think that Everton are sitting fairly, I don't want to say comfortably, but quite

00:36confident because they haven't sold any of the main assets that maybe we expect us want

00:41to go before. Obviously, Kevin Fellowell came out and said, so was Iain Velasquez, the director

00:46of football, that sales will need to happen. But if they need to happen before June 30th,

00:54maybe they might have lowered their asking price on Jarrod Bramfleet to Man Utd or Dominic

00:58Calvert-Lewin to Newcastle. Amadou Ounan is obviously still at the club, at the Euros,

01:04but Everton have been steadfast with their approach for Bramfleet, saying you offer us

01:09silly money or he's going nowhere. Obviously, Man Utd haven't been able to get that one

01:14over the line deal for Calvert-Lewin and Newcastle broke down, and yeah, Ounan is obviously

01:18an interest. He's competing at the Euros, so that's probably parked. Maybe Everton knew

01:23that would be parked before all this happened. But yeah, the sales at Lewistop and for what,

01:30close to £10m, Waston Villa, that's pure profits on the books at Everton, so that's

01:35good. And obviously, Ben Godfrey being sold to Atalanta, which looks like a good deal

01:40for all parties, to be quite frank, because you couldn't really see him. Getting a look

01:46in under Sean Dyche, he wasn't favoured as a centre-back and he's not really an outright

01:51back. Best of luck to him at Atalanta. So yeah, I think Everton may be looking at him,

01:56thinking, looking okay. Certainly with the players that's been linked to him as well,

02:00it looks like there might be a little bit of money to spend.
