All right, well, you know, for those people who are unfamiliar with the way that retail
00:07
sports betting works, basically, you have to be there in person.
00:12
And I know a lot of people, Matt, would ask the question.
00:14
It's probably a rudimentary question, but maybe people are watching us for the first
00:18
time.
00:19
They're unfamiliar with how it works.
00:20
Essentially, what they do, these companies, they geo tag you, meaning that you have to
00:24
be in the vicinity of where you can bet on sports.
00:28
Otherwise, your phone notices that you're not there, and then you can't.
00:32
And there's a new state here that is opening up a new geo-comply system.
00:37
Which one is it, and how will it operate?
00:39
Yeah, you're right, Craig.
00:41
In a nutshell, that's how it works.
00:42
There are a couple of places where, I always use Mississippi as an example.
00:47
Mississippi does not allow online sports betting throughout the state.
00:52
But if you happen to be on the casino premises, and the Casino Sportsbook offers an app where
00:58
you can bet, then you can bet anywhere on your app from within that casino premises.
01:04
It expands a little bit when we start to talk about Indian gaming, and the Choctaw Nation
01:09
of Oklahoma is getting ready to launch Class 2 on-premises mobile gaming.
01:15
Now, that can sound a little bit confusing.
01:18
Class 2 gaming is basically slot machines and table games that don't include balls and
01:24
dice, essentially, Craig.
01:26
When you start to talk about Class 3 gaming, that's when you get to the Vegas-style gaming.
01:31
And the Choctaw said that they're going to launch Class 2 mobile gaming, and they are
01:36
going to, you know, have it geo-locked to their, both casino and their tribal lands.
01:43
Now, look, Craig, I think this can maybe be seen more as a beta launch to see how things
01:49
are going to work.
01:50
Because if you remember, in April, the Choctaw Nation signed a sports betting deal with Canby,
01:55
one of the big sports betting tech providers out there, and it was for an exclusive nationwide
02:01
sports betting partnership.
02:03
Obviously, that's been on ice a little bit for about half a year now, but certainly things
02:10
are going on behind the scenes.
02:11
I think we can look to this Class 2 mobile launch for the Choctaw as the wheel's starting
02:18
to move a little bit.
02:20
We don't know if they're going to try to offer online gaming in other states that have
02:25
it legalized.
02:27
Right now, we just know that it's going to be for sports betting.
02:30
And so, you know, they're probably doing a lot of guessing and checking to get this live.
02:34
They want to check different systems and everything.
02:36
But really positive sign here, I think, for this Choctaw partnership moving forward.
