Rice is life for us Filipinos, and it's also seen in the way we embrace the traditional ways of using rice.

Like the Korean Gimbap that we made when we visited Rodem Farm in Cavite.

The Spanish dish, Paella, is also part of our taste buds.

It was invented by the Savior of Pipay in Alba Restaurant in Quezon City,

which has been serving traditional Spanish cuisine for more than 7 decades.

My father actually started as a dishwasher in Spain.

Before washing the leftovers, he would taste them,

and once the kitchen was closed, he would try cooking it himself until he became a cook.

After a couple of years that he trained the cooks and chefs of the Casino Español of Spanish Cuisine,
