00:00In our previous GTI weapons guide, we covered pistols and submachine guns using the 9x19mm
00:11ammo.
00:12But in real combat, in addition to close range engagement, operators often have to deal with
00:17attacks from mid to long range enemies.
00:20In those situations, submachine guns and handguns lose their edge.
00:24In this video, we're going to talk about the commonly used mid to long range caliber, 5.56x45mm.
00:335.56x45mm ammo comes in five types.
00:385x56x45mm RRLP, Limited Penetration, 5.56x45mm FMJ, Full Metal Jacket, 5.56x45mm M855, 5.56x45mm
00:54M855A1, and 5.56x45mm M995.
01:03Of those, the first two types can be purchased from the Tactical Warfare Unit or the Auction
01:08House.
01:09The last three types are mainly purchased at the Auction House, crafted at the Black
01:14Sight Workshop, or looted during matches.
01:18The M855 ammo can be traded at the Tactical Warfare Unit once you reach Operation Level
01:2412.
01:25At Operation Level 32, and after upgrading the Black Sight Workbench to Level 3, you
01:30can use the necessary materials at the Workbench to craft the higher grade M855A1 and M995
01:38ammo.
01:39All types of 5.56x45mm ammo currently have a damage ratio of 100%.
01:47They come with penetration levels ranging from 1 to 5.
01:50The highest grade, M995, offers strong armor penetration capabilities, dealing 110% damage
01:58against ballistic vests from Level 1 to Level 6.
02:035.56x45mm ammo is primarily used with some assault rifles, light machine guns, and marksman
02:12rifles.
02:13Next, let's take a close look at the differences between these weapons.
02:17Among the eight weapons using this ammo type, the K416 assault rifle and Mini14 marksman
02:24rifle clearly stand out from the rest.
02:26Whereas other weapons in the same family have ranges of 40 or 55 meters, the K416 assault
02:33rifle has a range of 27 meters, and the Mini14 marksman rifle has a range of 90 meters.
02:39If you're stocked up on enough 5.56x45mm ammo, you can equip both weapons at the same
02:47time.
02:48One type of ammo, two weapons.
02:50You'll be ready for various combat ranges without worrying about running out of ammo
02:55for either weapon.
02:56The M249 light machine gun, the M4A1 assault rifle, and the CAR-15 assault rifle all have
03:05a range of 40 meters.
03:07The M249 is a light machine gun with a high rate of fire of 858 rounds per minute, the
03:14highest DPS of the three weapons.
03:17This makes it an ideal mid-range combat choice, whether for supportive fire support or cutting
03:22off the enemy's retreat.
03:25The other two assault rifles may not pack the same punch as the M249, but with better
03:30handling and accuracy, they're still reliable choices for any operator.
03:36The M4A1 assault rifle and CAR-15 assault rifle both offer similar damage, armor penetration,
03:44handling, and stability.
03:46However, the M4A1 assault rifle has a faster rate of fire, better damage output, and more
03:52modification options, which also makes it pricier.
03:56The M16A4 assault rifle, SG-552 assault rifle, and AUG assault rifle all have a range of
04:0455 meters.
04:05The SG-552 assault rifle has a higher rate of fire than the other two, and its handling
04:11is just as good, making it a great value option.
04:14Even though its damage is lower, its high fire rate gives you an edge in close to mid-range
04:20combat.
04:21The M16A4 assault rifle, on the other hand, offers strong armor penetration, but it's
04:27limited to burst and single-shot modes, which means its firepower and handling might not
04:33match up to other automatic rifles.
04:36So choose carefully.
04:38The AUG assault rifle might not fire as fast as the SG-552, but it offers excellent recoil
04:45and stability, making it easier to handle and giving you an edge in mid to long-range
04:50combat.
04:51Alright, that'll do it for today's guide.
04:54Next time we'll continue to look at the ammo types for other assault rifles.
04:59For now, feel free to share any tips you have regarding the 5.56x45mm ammo and the weapons
05:06using it in the comments down below.
05:09Until next time, good luck out there, Operators!
