With Halloween just around the corner, one of the most exciting new activities in Manchester can be found in Diecast. It’s a set of escape rooms, but only because the most important thing to do… is get out.

00:00Manchester is a city that is very much alive.

00:03Even at night, there are people on every corner.

00:06But what happens when the living are joined by the dead?

00:11Well, in the face of such terror, we hid ourselves away at Diecast on Ducey Street.

00:16What a mistake that was, because in there they have their two Halloween special events,

00:21Toymaker and Time to Die.

00:23Hi, I'm Theo with Manchester World, and welcome to Halloween in Manchester.

00:28Today I'm here at the opening of Manchester Scare Factory at Diecast.

00:32I'm going to try out the rooms and let you know what I think,

00:34and you'll probably get to see some pretty funny videos of me being absolutely terrified.

01:13It's a nice style choice.

01:15There's like a clown mill around here that terrifies Jesus.

01:20OK.

01:27Oh, it's moving.

01:39So we've just finished Toymaker, and it genuinely...

01:46I think I'll need a while to recover.

01:48I mean, there were some... I wasn't sure what to expect.

01:51There were some genuine scares in there. You'll get a little glitch.

01:54I don't want to give it away too much.

01:57We've still got another room to go to, but I think I'm going to need a drink.

02:01So I have a drink we did.

02:02Fortunately, Diecast have a couple of special drinks out for the Halloween season,

02:05so this is a bloody strawberry daiquiri and a pumpkin patch reaper.

02:07The pumpkin patch one in particular was really unique, and got us ready to go again.

02:11Let's go. I don't know if I want to be at the back. I think I'm going to be chased.

02:19So, again, it's just time to go. There's a lot of tension building in there.

02:24Time to die.

02:34Go on, then. Go and get it.
