Tamworth Regional Council is encouraging local businesses to switch cooking oils, moving away from high-fat products like coconut oil and animal fats and towards "healthier" oils. Video by Gareth Gardner

00:00and Council has to be part of the solution. I'd also refer you to Blueprint 100, which

00:11is our most important strategic document, and it talks about having a healthy community.

00:18So there are actions in there that assist in us thinking about how we help the community

00:25to be healthier. We try to give a healthier food in that manner. So, yeah, even though

00:39it is a franchising, and me being a chef, I would like to provide to everyone a healthy

00:46food, even myself, because we are also an employee of the store and we do eat here as

00:51well, so it's better for everyone whether we believe it or not.

00:55Generally, it's just, I've got to say from a Council perspective, it's the right thing

00:59to do. We are leaders of the community, our Councillors are the community leaders, and

01:04here's an area where we can take some leadership.
