00:05On the night of 23 October 2025, Dr. Sampada Munday was found hanging in a hotel room near Fulton Sub-Distrit Hospital in Satara District, Maharashtra.
00:14In the message eshed on her hand and in a four-page letter, the doctor named Gopal Badne, a police sub-inspector, and Prashant Banker, the landlord's son, accused them of repeated rape and months of mental harassment.
00:24Originally from Beard District, Dr. Munday was posted at the Fulton Hospital. When she alleged, the police forced her to issue fake medical fitness certificates under political pressure, even implicating a member of parliament.
00:35Her note triggered outrage across Maharashtra. The sub-inspector has been suspended. Banker has been arrested from One and an FIR for rape and abitment of suicide has been lodged.
