00:00Police will summon Bloomberg in their probe into allegations that Prime Minister Anwar

00:06Ibrahim interfered in investigations carried out by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

00:12Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Rusti Isah said MACC lodged a report following comments made

00:17by former UMNO Supreme Council member Isham Jalil over the matter.

00:22Rusti said the case is being investigated under Section 500 and 505B of the Penal Code

00:28and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, 1998.

00:34Yesterday, Isham had a statement taken after he urged Anwar to sue Bloomberg for publishing

00:39the report.

00:41Last month, Bloomberg reported that MACC Chief Azam Baki told officers in the agency that

00:46Anwar had given instructions to investigate former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad,

00:51his sons, and former Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin.

00:55Both the Prime Minister's office and MACC have since denied Bloomberg's claims.
