Meghan Markle Makes Surprise Appearance at Children's Hospital L.A. Gala

00:08Meghan Markle is showing up to support Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

00:12On Saturday, October 5th, the Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance

00:16at the Children's Hospital LA 2024 Gala, where she's stunned in a red Carolina Herrera gown.

00:22The biennial gala honors the hospital's patients, physicians, researchers, and caregivers,

00:27as well as recognizes philanthropists, according to the organization's website.

00:32While on the red carpet, Meghan spoke about why she is grateful for the Children's Hospital.

00:36Oh my goodness, the work that they do at Children's Hospital LA is

00:40otherworldly, and I think from my standpoint as a mother,

00:44no one wants to have to be in a position where you need to go to a place like this,

00:48but if you have to, the best place in the world you could go would be Children's Hospital LA,

00:52and I have close friends who still have their children there going through treatments,

00:55either from high school, close mom friends now that are having their children,

01:00really have that experience with the staff is incredible, and the amount of work that they do

01:04for families that really could not afford this level of care is something that I think should

01:08never be overlooked, so I'm just grateful for everything they do, happy to be here to support.

01:12For her solo outing, Meghan also posed for pictures with the hospital's CEO,

01:16Paul S. Viviano, Alliance of Moms co-founder Kelly McKee-Zaphin, and the Nelson family.

01:22She also had a sweet moment with their daughter Ella,

01:24who had reportedly been a patient of the hospital.

01:32Kaley Cuoco, Demi Lovato, Jimmy Kimmel, Colin Hanks, and more.
